and a "third" 6.0.9785.1 Realtek audio driver package is available from MSI (again, same 9785.1 version, different CRC/hash)

and recently a 6.0.9800.1 driver version as well

Thanks for this. The vulnerability is now patched. I always think MSI's instructions are long-winded.
Simply run the batch file (within the update tool) as an administrator, and it will begin the patching process.

Fickled finger of fate. The MS Update Catalog, pretty much good for security updates but other updates not so much. They could be there but lost to most of us.
Even though they/MS has them, unless one knows the exact link, a user common search will turn up empty handed. Now if one wants older drivers, they can help with that, maybe. But who wants older drivers with a newer computer?
Personally I have to clear my Windows update (.bat file) & then block MS from installing old/outdated drivers on all my computers. Pretty soon I just might be back to blocking all their updates, for they seem to fix little to nothing except for locking out people like me to circumvent their known flaws. Am I a Trojan, a virus spreader, nope. We all are in Microsoft's eyes.

The original author of this thread kept everything up to date, including all Microsoft drivers—not just security updates, but hardware drivers as well. Before quitting this thread, and switching to Linux last year, he shared all the relevant links. I’ve copied the driver list below, along with the original page dated September 2024.
I update all drivers every fortnight and noticed that many of the Microsoft Update Catalog drivers listed in this thread are outdated. No one has listed them for months, so I assumed this might be because most people aren’t especially focused on these specific drivers, prioritising audio and visual drivers instead.


P.S., with the links being from Sept 2024, you have to head for the latest 2025 drivers.

Downloading a microsoft store app can be done using this.
 
This is a new driver version that fixes many bugs.

The problem with Nvidia 572.xx drivers also plagued the RTX 4000 and users complained that only the RTX 5000 was being addressed.
Game developers also recommended the older Game Ready 566.xx
In the case of RTX 4000 cards (Ada Lovelace), they recommend using version 566.36 from December 2024.
