MSI Cubi-N Storage Upgrade

Hi all! I want to increase my SSD storage on MSI Cubi-N. What should I buy for this?

MSI has 3 models for Cubi-N but all are different.
Cubi-N / Cubi-N JSL / Cubi-N 8GL /
Please confirm model name again.

Just bought Sabrent Rocket Q 1tb https://ssdrive.net/sabrent-rocket-q-1-tb and have problems with installation. It way longer than factory SSD.

1 x mSATA SSD
1 x 2.5" SATA HDD (with extension bay)

its a M-SATA slot not a M.2 that is why the one you have is too long as its not the correct type of drive.

I would just go for an External USB SSD

Just buy from reliable sources, they are not too bad on price and have decent speed
Something like this I have several External USB SSD drives I use

USB 3.1 Gen 1 supports speeds of up to 5Gbit/s while USB 3.1 Gen 2 supports speeds of up to 10Gbit/s.

Cubi has Gen 1

M.2 2230 is normal the size used for Wifi and Bluetooth

as MSI is a bit vague in the size of the M.2 can you take some photos of the inside of your CUBI
It does say mSata drive so make sure you look for one of them

like i said its NOT A M.2 on that Cubi its a mSATA Drive that was the precursor to M.2 technology and they are not interchangeable.
USB 3.1 Gen1 (5Gb/s) 625MB/s is the theoretical max it can do.

If somebody planned the same upgrade - the better way is to install SATA 2.5" SSD. The price will be better than USB or msata and the temperature will be lower. But you need to install extended case cover from the Cubi-N set. Also USB SSD minuses is that one from fast ports 3.1 gone to connect external storage.

Ya I looked but that is listed as an Optional extra so not sure if you had it or not or even where you would buy it from or the Price on one
So not sure if it is a Option for a lot of people if kit not advaliable
I would just buy a NUC instead they have a lots of Aftermarket stuff
Not sure if Go rite stuff will fit the MSI NUK lookalike
