So I have had this laptop for almost 2 years and starting to have some issues with it. Keyboard is starting to fail (not the main issue for this thread). My gaming graphics is getting glitchy. It's pretty choppy on games that I have played with no issues before. I haven't done anything special with this machine, no overclocking or anything like that and I have no viruses/malware on it. the SSD is nowhere near being full. I have even adjusted the NVIDIA game settings but nothing is working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
When my laptop started stuttering in games it used to run fine, it ended up being a driver issue, not hardware failure. NVIDIA updates don’t always play nice with older mobile GPUs. What fixed it for me was using DDU to fully wipe the GPU drivers and then installing a known stable version instead of the latest one.
Also worth checking Windows power settings and NVIDIA Control Panel to make sure it’s actually using the dedicated GPU and not defaulting to integrated graphics after an update.
