Made some pics from the Bios

Like you can see the adjusted Dram frequen is on 1600 mhz but the current speed is 1066 and after reboot it stays there

The memory I bought its working Voltage is 1.65 Volts but the mainboards says that it can damage the cpu if I set it at 1.65 volts so its still on AUTO (1.5v)
But like this the memory will never work at 1600 Mhz..

Thnx.. :) for replying

Corsair TWIN3X 1600MHz DDR3, 6GB,  9 9 9 24

Can you provide a link to the Corsair Datasheet for these specific modules?

About this:

Do your memory modules have XMP Profiles?

Please post a screenshot of the CPU-Z "SPD" view for one of these modules.

made a screenshot to

from the XMP profile and I manual edited the settings to the giving info in the second screenshot

After looking at the i7 data sheet, you should be fine at v1.65. Anything over that, should be researched & confirmed safe for your CPU. (Keep in mind, your MoBo natively only supports memory up to 1333). Your memory modules, after looking at Corsair's data sheet, exhibit the classic issue many of us have endured with memory. Rated as one thing & in reality another. Your memory is JEDEC STD 9 9 9 24 @ 1333 with manufacturer permission to overclock/overvolt to 1600 9 9 9 24 @ v1.65. The small print disclaimer reads - "actual results may vary". Only a suggestion, but, your CPU-Z JEDEC #3 of 1333 (667) 9 10 10 25 v1.5 might be a good one to start with. Then try @ 9 9 9 24 v1.5. If neither of these work at v1.5, increase v. a step at a time until it does (not exceeding v1.65 of course). For trying to get the XMP of 1600 (800) 9 9 9 24 2T @ v1.65 to work reliable for you, J.T.N. is pretty knowledgeable on additional memory related settings & v's that may be necessary to help you reach your goal.  :-))

This is bull:censored: ,I bought 1600 MHZ memory so I should run it at 1600 mhz.It has been sold to me as 1600 MHz. lol
I feel misled.
And by the way.. I cant even get the memory to 1333 mhz :S
:confused2:

and if you read well I have adjusted the Settings to 9 9 9  24 etc.. on 1.65V but the MHZ just wont go faster .. I am getting rather anoyed with this motherboard.

And should I update to Bios version 1.2?
Code:
1. This is AMI BIOS release.
2. This BIOS fixes the following problem of the previous version:
- Improve system performance.
3. 2008/11/21

I understand your frustration. (I had some similar issues with DDR2 being only 800's but marked as 1066's). Puzzled your DDR3 won't run @ 1333. I Don't have any other ideas for you to try.

Where is the "truth in labeling & advertising" nowadays? Here is some interesting reading. Forum Subject "Anything Under The Sun", topic - "Wrong RAM" (Reply #4 by Frankenputer & DaLoona Reply #5), & this started by RemusM https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=118018.0

P.S. A bios update "may" make a huge difference.

DD3 1600 ;)

I cant download the :censored: bios from the site..

http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=bios&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1695

and I dont want to Liveupdate (update bios threw the internet Yeah right) lol

LOL.. and the BIOS hangs when I try to save my  "old bios" to my 4 GB scandisc ..this is getn lamer by the second
First time it just reboted when I pushed enter on the option :Save file to the selected device {usb MY DRIVE}
Second time.. lol It just hanged..
third time :Cant find folder to start saving the file when I tried to back it up..

p.s Is it save for me to bios update threw the internet? :p

DDR3 1600 ;)

Supports six unbuffered DIMM of 1.5 Volt DDR3 800/1066/1333/1600 SDRAM, 24GB Max

p.s.
The JEDEC standard of DDR3-1600 has been officially announced:
11-11-11-33 at 1.5V
10-10-10-30 at 1.5V
9-9-9-27 at ... more than 1.5V

So that gives me no choice to update my BIOS? :)

I have already put the good settings into the Bios settings but it stays @ 1066 mhz.. its hilarious
Volts already @ 1.65v and everything stays stable .
I could underclock the multiplier to 15x and set the bus speed to 200 mhz that gives me 3 ghz  to.. and it sets my memory to 1600 MHZ .. but I am kinda scared to [***CENSORED***] arround that mutch with 1000 euro's
Its allot of money for me

You bought some (high-quality) DDR3-1333 modules.
With 9-9-9-24 at 1.65V they should run just fine at 1333MHz.

cheers

the bios FAILS ..I CANT SET IT TO 1333 or even 1600 .. it stays 1066 WHAT ever I do.. lol
I just said that some replies back
:angryfire:

And I think you are protecting MSI, Fanboy maybe? I am sure I bought good memory.. and allot of reviewers are having problems with the MSI eclipse. :police:
Sorry for being such a [***CENSORED***] but I am getting rather annoyed with this mainboard .I just bought for 1600 euro new PC hardware and it just doesnt work like it should do..lol

You need to manually set the timings, the voltage and the FSB/DRAM ratio (according to your processor FSB).

Code:
You need to manually set the timings, the voltage
I did this but I cant find the FSB/DRAM RATIO

Code:

@ RemusM. Double checked, but my MSI Eclipse Series Manual (G52-75201X1), shows support of 800/1066/1333

DRAM only. Not trying to be argumentative, but just trying to determine if the boards are different by global region, & if only some (Eclipse+, Eclipse, or Eclipse SLI), support 1600 natively or by O.C.? FSB? QPI right? :lol_anim:

strikey, I have used Live Update for four MSI boards, & all the bios versions that would be useful for each board without a problem. Having said that, the USB Bios Flash Tool available at this forum is a far better/safer choice.*

Doesn't help you today, but I will be buying a version of the Eclipse sometime next year. But what I can gather from the manual, is somewhere in Cell Menu, around the Base Clock, QPI Config., MEMORY-Z, has got to be the area covering ratio answers your looking for.

*Just remembered, your board has M-Flash.

If he posted a link to Eclipse SLI I cannot guess if he has a different board or not.

I just tried putting the BOX speed on 200 MHZ and the multiplier on 15 .. than my ram IS working on 1600 MHZ.. but with my stock cpu cooler it is getting hotter (55 Degrees BIOS)
and the IOH temperature is getting rather high 60 degrees :

now back on default settings

CPU temps = 55 degrees (coretemp)
IOH temp still 60 degrees (speedfan)

Btw what is IOH temperature ?

Your CPU seems a shade on the warm side. Have you double checked that the CPU cooler is correctly thermal greased & seated? Is the 55 at idle or full load? i7 Thermal Profile: Power (W)130 = Tcase Max 67.9c. Sorry, don't know on the IOH temp question, as I'm not running speedfan. Have you also checked the temps using Real Temp 2.70, Everest 4.60.1550, & does your bios H/W Monitor confirm your Core Temp readings? Just saw IOH listed in H/W Monitor between CPU & System temp, but the manual doesn't say what it is either :undecided:.

CPu temps are now 37 35 43 and 31 (IDLE).. the thermal grease and the Cpu are connected.

CPU temps stressed 44 45 53 41 so its not that bad.

Will try again 'overclocked'

55 tm 60 degrees @ 200 MHZ x 15 , QPI FAR TO HIGH @..3.6 or something ..lol:p
but mem latencies where to high to  @ CL 10 9 9 24 N1

So testing now with 150 MHZ to 20 Multiplier.. working..  KINDA ok.. only 1200 MHZ @ mem

Just to chime in here.. more people have reported issues with running 6gb (3x2gb) memory at 1600 on the eclipse... (3gb (3x1gb) does not have the same problem though).  Kyle @ hardforum found and reported the problem to MSI, they were able to reproduce the issue in their labs, and we haven't heard back from them since... I read on bit-tech that they have a bios ver 132 which supposedly allows for a lot of additional stability on the eclipse while overclocking, so perhaps this is the new bios MSI is developing to deal with the issues?   I have yet to see it in the wild though.. I can't even get any bios from the MSI site atm for the eclipse.. I hope they get a new bios up there soon though.. all my parts are almost in and I am building my eclipse machine up.. with 3x1gb G.Skill 1600 (1.5v) 9-9-9-24 memory..

anyways..

http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1354363&page=3

I am "revenant" over there and am sticking up for the eclipse, but I am about the only one who is...

 Those temps look a lot better. Glad ArchaNoah did chime in. Something I noticed in the manual caught my eye about the mem. slot poplulation. Instead of slots 1 3 & 5, the Eclipse calls for slots 2 4 & 6 with 3 sticks? Does your manual read the same?

Strikey, until MSI resolves the reported 3X2G issue, have you tried with just one stick in slot 2, or with sticks in just slots 2 & 4? Please keep us posted on your results. :-))
