Like you can see the adjusted Dram frequen is on 1600 mhz but the current speed is 1066 and after reboot it stays there

The memory I bought its working Voltage is 1.65 Volts but the mainboards says that it can damage the cpu if I set it at 1.65 volts so its still on AUTO (1.5v)
But like this the memory will never work at 1600 Mhz..

Thnx.. :) for replying

Well the new MSI BIOS update fixed my problems running quite good:) faster than normal tho :p
(flashed it with M-FLASH)

donno if every1 has this update.. couz it aint on the site yet

It fixes the 1600 mhz bug.. plus it has some nice possibilities for overclocking  :) and my pc is allot more stable :)

Ahh, nice.. you got 1.3b3... I got 1.3b2 emailed to me yesterday.. but I still can't finish my system to try it until I get my psu.. gah!  anyways, I am glad kind of I had to delay my build now that there is a better bios to use. :D

yeah I love this board now :p gonna overclock the [***CENSORED***] out of it when there are some decent air coolers available :p
I already noticed that this baby (cpu) can go ALLOT faster than it is doing now :p

QPI got that stable running @ 7200
thats quite nice hehe :p

The Thermalright Ultra Extreme or Coolermaster V8 are good air coolers... I have a V8 but have not tested it yet because I am waiting for my psu and a couple other things.... but I think I may go water with this hot quad..  we will see.. anyways, great news on the new bios and thanks for the link.. I am really excited to get my eclipse going now. :D

I have got a V.expensive water cooler here :p and A Coolermaster HAF case.. but I dont wanna install the damm WC again.. its rotting away atm in a box :p
I mite get the V8 and do some cpu/mem tweaking ...

yeah love msi atm :) waiting for a new air cooler and some good cash to get a GOOD one.. :p emailed coolermaster when then release their CM V12 and if they release it  :emot-tip-wink:

that will be a BIG cooler. lol.  the V8 is pretty big as is.  not as heavy as I thought though.. I might still want to support it a little though so not all that stress is on the mobo. :)  If it seems like heat is holding my cpu oc back, I might consider a Coolit Freezone Elite.  expensive, but when you crank the TEC up it cools amazingly well.

hmm dont want watercooling anymore, wanna keep my new case in 1 piece :p and I saw what I can do with a stock cooler .. aint gonna need water cooling  :)
Watercooling sucks in the summer becouse your water gets hottere .. and doesnt cool down :(

Yep... wc is all about having good ambient temps... I think the big advantage used to be noise levels and that you move the heat out of the case better... but with low noise 120mm fans, good case ventilation, and these modern air coolers wc doesn't seem worth it any more..  but it does look neeto with UV tubing and come ccfls. :)

Ive been running Coolit products for over a year now....I own the Coolit Pure,Eliminator,Freezone and Freezone Elite.

Coolit is not regular water cooling....it is a "chilled water setup" (except the Pure)...You do not need to worry about ambient temps...with the Elite using MTEC,If you set the coolant to run @ 20c than it will stay @ 20c....with the others you can set the power of the TEC units manually and control temps that way.

Highest temp I ever seen was 52c with my Elite....this was the middle of summer on a e2200 oc to 3.6 running around 1.6-1.7volts

Lowest temp I ever seen was -6c w/Elite...also during last summer...same CPU but OCd to 3.2 running around 1.4volts.(slightly modded the Elite by taking it apart and remounting the cooler and pump in 2 locations..improved air flow alot)

In my mind the price of the Elite is an absolute steel if you want to seriously overclock.

The guys at Coolit are working on a retention bracket for i7 right now and should be available within the month.

Also you cant beat Coolits customer service...Ive had to RMA 2 of there coolers...A pump on an Eliminator started making squealing noise,Coolit replaced that eliminator with a Classic Freezone (no charge)the other time a Freezone was shipped to me without coolant in it,Coolit replaced that with a Freezone Elite (no charge)

If you have the cash for Coolit than its a no brainer in my eyes

Yeah, it's a "safe" way to use peltier cooling without having to worry about condensation too much, with the MTEC.. ambient temps don't matter because it uses electricity to move heat away from the radiator.. anyways.. my study gets really hot in the summertime and my water setup almost works against me then... so I have been wanting to try a Coolit Freezone for a while.. glad they are working so well for you.  :D

edit:  lol, reading that post almost sells me on the idea... I'll wait until they get the 1366 version tho. :D

LOL.. donno whats wrong.. needed to reboot.. and YEEY my pc wont start op.. reset bios.. it now says.. you overclocked to mutch..LOL? didnt change a damm setting..
Got it working again.. on 1333 mhz but when I set it on 1600 and 1.65V it wont boot my OS ..lol :)

sounds like your memory isn't happy for sure... maybe try lowering the vdimm a little?    I know I had issues with my ballistix where I ran them with too much vdimm for a while and then they wouldn't run at that speed stable any more.. I had to change the timings from 3-3-3-9 to 4-4-4-12 and lower the vdimm to 2.0 (from 2.3 which is pretty high for ddr2 but they needed it to run those tighter timings.)

Anyways.. bummer man. :(

in other news, I got my system up finally.  no OCing yet.. just got it all running last night and letting it burn in for 24 hours before I move the BLCK up..

Yeah my mem is not happy :p  Already tried 1.6v.. not working .. the strangest thing only.. I ran tests.. benchmarks etc nothing wrong (1.65v).. I put in an other hd and Kaboom  :shocking:
Ill try to screw around more in the weekend.. need my pc now:p

To answer an earlier question, by some other posts in the forum showing up, IOH has to do with the Northbridge? (temps)?

Edit: IOH - Northbridge, ICH - Southbridge.

hi. im just new here. i also have an eclipse board and  memory is OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 / 1600MHz 3x2G platinum . currently when i boot my system it shows the memory speed as 1066. i updated my bios to 1.3b9. so do i just change the multiplier from auto to 6 to make it 1600 and voltage set to auto? tnx...
