MSI Eclipse no video signal

Hi, sorry for any double post this forum is huge

motherboard:  MSI Eclipse SLI X58
BIOS:            v1.0 best guess
CPU:              Intel i7-965, 3.2GHz, QPI 6.4GT/s, Socket LGA 1366
video card:    MSI R4870X2 T2D2G
power supply: Thermaltake ToughPower 1200W
RAM:            Corair Dominator PC3-14400C9 1866 MHz (3x1 GB sticks) Triple Channel DDR3

I have both power jacks hooked up to video card, and installed on PCI-E2 black slot.  A VGA to DVI adapter plugged into the card.  There isn't any other video out on the mother board that I can see.  Computer starts run through D-LED2 and stops on MSI logo and I can Cycle through that screen.  Computer continues to run but no video to monitor, remains alseep.  Computer runs until I shut it off, and I can restart it myself with the restart button.

I tried:

clearing cmos
disconenting all drives
removing one stick of ram at a time
moving monitor to other slot on card
puting disks into drive

My guess is my bios need to be updated to handle this new card.

RAM may be the culprit, at what voltage did you set the RAM's on ? Since it is a dominator, it must be overvoltaged for it to run smoothly at 1866 MHz

Try as N.J. suggests with just one stick RAM (1 stick slot #2 (AO). This board has unusual mem. slot population rules. Are your sticks in the correct (Black) #2 (AO), #4 (BO), & #6 (CO) slots as per the manual?

According to another X58 board user, he switched the GPU to another slot & it worked fine. Give it a try in PCI_E4. I know it's supposed to work in the primary slot, but if this works, please get ahold of MSI so they can get busy on a fix.

As a side note, tho the sticks are marked 1866, they are probably in fact 1600's with manufacturer OC & overvolt permission. Since this MoBo supports 1600 OC, reaching higher than that may be a bit of a challenge. In bios, they probably read 1333? JEDEC Std. @ 1333 is 9 9 9 24, but I'm not sure on the V's, 1.5 or 1.65. Hope all this helps.

Sorry for slow reply working a 7x 12 Hitch on the rigs.  Snowed in today.  I tried all of the and tried to overclocked my board with switches by the power button still nothing.  How do I turn up voltages to my RAM, or do I buy new RAM?

That should be excellent RAM that you have. Do you have CPU-Z utility tool? What is the mem. speed, timings, & V's. at now as set by bios? Mem. voltage can be increased in Cell Menu, DRAM Voltage (V). Use your keyboard arrow keys & + - keys on the num. pad.
