Hi!
Trying to understand the differences between the Gaming monitors MSI G241 and the MSI G242 ?
The purpose is to have the monitor as an "extra" monitor to Gaming setup -we already have an 32" monitor as "main" monitor, so this 24" would just be an "extra".
The gaming computer is equipped with Nvidia 3060 graphic card (but I suppose both G241 and G242 is not G-sync compatible?).
The price difference on the deal I got is just differ ~+10 USD (the MSI G241 is a little bit less than 10 USD cheaper than the G242).
Which one to go for???

MSI G241 has slightly better color Reproduction

MSI G242 has Freesync so can do 48 to 144Hz but the MSI G241 is locked to 144 Hz only.

Really its what do you like more Better color reproduction of a way to run Variable Refresh rate so that it can keep the image on it from Tearing?

Thanks!
Currently this will just serve as an "extra monitor" - my son mainly use the primary 32" monitor for the gaming parts - and this "extra" 24" will be more YouTube, web surfing etc. etc.
But of course, one never know what it might will be used for in the future.
Seems like they are very like each other those monitors, it was just that the price was "almost" the same - slightly cheaper for the G241... ;-)

yeah the extra $10 is just the freesync mainly there actually very close in spec to each other which is why i Said the G241 has very slightly better color and is only like 1% if its just for watching Videos on and stuff like that the G241 would be just fine but the G242 would be better for games later on so its upto you which one if its only $10 i would get the G242 just for a little bit of future proofing.

After some Googling some "claims" that the G242 are "G sync compatible" but that the G241 are not - but I have actually not found any "proof" that any of them would be "G sync compatible".
Just thought as we got an Nvidia 3060 graphic card! ;-)

DYNAMIC REFRESH RATE TECHNOLOGY = Adaptive Sync (thats Freesync) but NVIDIA cards can use it too as its a open Standard.
