I recently bought the MSI G272QPF E2. When running monitor at native resolution 1440p at 180HZ there is no RGB colour and full output dynamic range in nvidia control panel; only YCbCr and limited dynamic range options show. When setting custom resolution 1440p at 179HZ the RGB options are available. I have a 3060ti and I am using the included DP cable. Any idea what the problem is here?

(UPDATE TO THIS POST) Hi I wanted to jump on this as I am also using the same monitor the MSI G272QPF E2 and I am using 179hz but all my games still run 180hz. What you want to do is go to Nvidia Control Panel and go to change resolution and then click on Customise and when you do that right at the bottom it should say Create Custom Resolution click that and on the Display mode (as reported by windows) which is the top part change the Refresh rate (Hz) to 179 and enjoy the 180hz in game and also you will have RGB and Full with 8 bpc but the downfall to it (Sadly) you will lose the 10 bpc BUT! at least you still get RGB colour format and Full dynamic range plus with 179hz :) Also this works for Nvidia cards I don't know about AMD cards

on the the timing section leave that as automatic :)

Thanks a lot. Yeah I figured this out and it's all running fine so no complaints. Just a bit weird that 1hz was all it took :D

Tell me about it the that YCbCr422 look so bad and made everything not enjoyable on my screen but we are not only the ones having this trouble with this monitor so I just wanted to help people out as much as I can and yeah it's wild what 1hz can do and make a change on this monitor haha

hi, thanks for sharing the tip "179Hz" i had the same issue reported in this thread about "YCbCr and RGB".

Right now i use the "Game user profile" it's seem good for gaming.
When i use this profile in windows 11 desktop the whit color not seem very white, probably the game calibration ?

Have you any tip to config the monitor properly for gaming and desaktop ?
thanks :)

use the user profile it has the best colour calibration. Have overdrive set to medium and you'll be fine for gaming.

ok, thanks
i have to choose gaming mode -> user or professional mode -> user ?
i honestly dont understand the difference.....
