Hello,

I've had a 27" MSI G274QPX for about 8 months now, worked like a charm until last week where out of the blue, black lines started flashing at the bottom of the screen, right over the taskbar (see attachment).

I've tried updating my graphics drivers, rebooted, switched the refresh rate from 240hz all the way to 60, which seems to affect the artifact as it slightly changes position at each different rate, until it's all over the place at 60hz. I also swapped my DP cable with the one from my second monitor (different brand) who doesn't show any issue, yet the issue remains.

I checked and it's under warranty, what would be my next step ? Any advice ? Thank you.

I have the same problem as of a few days ago, also had the monitor about a year now. Probably still under warranty also, could use some answers because we're not getting them anywhere else it seems.

I have exactly the same problem, it can't be a coincidence that everyone with the monitor has had exactly the same error for a few days.
At first I thought it was something wrong with windows, then I reset it and it's still there.

Then I connected the TV with different cables and no problems, so it's not the graphics card.
Even in bios I have these artifacts at the bottom of the screen so it's 100% due to that.
My monitor is 1 year old, so idk what bullshit this is.

In most cases MSI monitors come with 2, or even 3, years of warranty. RMA your monitor.

Hello, small update, after a little bit, it got worse. Just regular of the monitor in games "increased" the number of lines at the bottom, and since yesterday it started flashing black the whole bottom third of the monitor. I indeed had a 36 months warranty for this monitor so I reached out to the support and started a RMA procedure. Will keep updating here for anyone having the same issue.

I'm a little wary about them trying to pin the issue outside of the warranty coverage since I'm not fluent in legal babble and haven't actually read the thing, but they said it should be covered so fingers crossed.

Can you update the situation now.. Did they change the display or what type of repair they have done?

That's good. Hopefully it goes quick and easy.

Hey, here's for the requested update. They've ruled the defect fell under the warranty and proposed a replacement for the monitor, except they don't have the same model in stock. So I've been going back and forth with them for the past two days but I am still waiting for them to propose a replacement that actually matches the main specs of my departed monitor (mainly 27" 1560x1440p, 240Hz and rapid IPS).

If I don't accept one of their proposal, I'd have to wait for them to send the broken monitor back, then ask for a refund to Amazon, so that sucks. Still hoping though, we'll see.

Sorry to hear. Please make sure you make MSI aware of this, potentially there's some batch issue 🤔 And don't forget to RMA :)
We also don't have any stats for sale and failure rates, but by the looks of it it's a fairly popular monitor which may result in more RMA requests than other models.

Any update? Exactly same thing happened to my monitor with the same model and I also started the RMA process. Let's see how it goes.

Hello, I'm experiencing the same issue, and it's actually gotten worse. At first, I thought it was my fault, but while there was initially just one line at the bottom, now there are 5-6 lines in the middle of the screen, and it's causing reflections. Also, when I try to play Overwatch 2, the screen seems to tear, and the lines double in number. I live in Turkey and I've only found one authorized service center here. This is ridiculous, frankly. I have to send the product to Istanbul, and if something happens to it during shipping, I'm responsible. What if something worse happens? What am I supposed to do now?

Ideally you ship it back in the original box. Make sure you take photos of the entire monitor before shipping in case something does happen so you have evidence it was ok before sending.
Also try another system, even a gaming console just to be sure it's not an issue with graphics card itself.

Greetings
I am from Turkey I bought my G274QPX from Amazon when it had a good discount. 3-4 days go same thing happened to me. I contact Amazon they told me to contact with seller. Than they shared a 3rd party company to check and fix the screen if possible if not they will give you a ticket for refund. Here is the picture I tried changing cable. Turning off Vsync/Gsync. Reducing the screen HZ is actually making it go crazy. I even checked it with my old 4070 GPU same issue. Gonna same Screen from LG like I bought my first one. I hope they RMA or Change it.

Can others also affected please mention which country you bought the monitor in?
I understand you live in Turkey, but did the monitor also came from a shop in your country? Or was it imported by any chance?
