Hello,

I've had a 27" MSI G274QPX for about 8 months now, worked like a charm until last week where out of the blue, black lines started flashing at the bottom of the screen, right over the taskbar (see attachment).

I've tried updating my graphics drivers, rebooted, switched the refresh rate from 240hz all the way to 60, which seems to affect the artifact as it slightly changes position at each different rate, until it's all over the place at 60hz. I also swapped my DP cable with the one from my second monitor (different brand) who doesn't show any issue, yet the issue remains.

I checked and it's under warranty, what would be my next step ? Any advice ? Thank you.

Greetings
I am from Turkey I bought my G274QPX from Amazon when it had a good discount. 3-4 days go same thing happened to me. I contact Amazon they told me to contact with seller. Than they shared a 3rd party company to check and fix the screen if possible if not they will give you a ticket for refund. Here is the picture I tried changing cable. Turning off Vsync/Gsync. Reducing the screen HZ is actually making it go crazy. I even checked it with my old 4070 GPU same issue. Gonna same Screen from LG like I bought my first one. I hope they RMA or Change it.
Aynı sorunu yaşıyoruz kanka ya bende amazondan aldım ama bana 3. bir firma hakkında bir şeyler demediler iletişim bilgilerini veya sana ulaşabilecğeim bir yer var mı konuşalım senle

Anyone affected, please send me a private message with faulty monitor's serial number and let me know if you RMAd it yet.

Tomorrow I'll be going to service with the screen. They told me 1 week wait time and I defo dont want a replacement or repair. Never buying MSI screens again. I bought same screen from LG is 100 € cheaper in my country

Sent you a DM. Initially encountered this issue last January this year (had the monitor for 10months) and asked for a replacement. The replacement is having the same issue again after 6 months.

Bought mine July 2024, it only lasted 1 year and 3 months. What a piece of garbage. I'm from the Philippines. I complained it last January but they want it to bring to MSI for RMA, I'm WFH I don't have a replacement while waiting for the replacement or repair.

Bought mine 31 December 2023. Lasted almost 2 years of daily usage for work and gaming. Experiencing the same issues as others, random lines appeared all over the screen. It started happening last week and it would "fix itself" after 10-15 minutes, but now its all gone and unusable.

It was a very nice monitor and just perfect for my needs (size, hz, ports), but very disappointed that it didn't last for more than 3 years at least.

Raised a ticket to start RMA process, but wanted to share my experience. (kind of a relief to see others on the same page, and if its a popular issue, maybe it makes things easier)

Me, 90% work, only 10% gaming. I just want a decent monitor every time a have a chance to play, that's it. What a piece of garbage. It's a problem that MSI needs to address immediately for WFH MSI users especially for monitors, they need to replace it asap, it's a disaster if WFH customer got the shitty batch or model. Philippines probably has the shittiest RMA.

It happens. I had MSI monitor for WFH and gaming for almost 3 years. It was, in fact, used for 18 hours a day on a daily basis. RMA'd (only because HDMI died, DP was fine), got a replacement monitor and it served me another 2 years before I upgraded to OLED.
We don't know how many of those MSI sold and what is the failure rate. It's possible that only 1 in 10,000 fail but due to the amount of sales it's "common".

My monitor is having sort of the same issue, horizontal lines appear along the screen, but mostly now in the bios and the bios start up image, in windows works as intended BUT only if I keep 240hz refresh rate, if I lowered in windows, black lines appear, but my monitor is a Asus TUF gaming monitor

Hello. I bought a G274QPF-QD and the horizontal black lines are appearing around the bottom part of the screen, most of them dissapear after a while but a few of them remain on screen for the entire use time despite resolution changes.
My issue is, this monitor was bought in 2023, would still apply for RMA with MSI? It was bought outside the US, and I no longer have the original box to ship it with.
Thanks.
