Hello all,
I've recently bought the first components for my gaming pc, which is starting with:
MSI Gaming 5, i7-4790k, Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x8Gb 2133Mhz and a GTX 980.
As i've seen some info on the internet i was expecting that the memory would be detected at 1333Mhz, which was right.
Though, i've also seen that it would be just needed to boot to BIOS and enable the XMP profiles (which i did), to bring the memory to some better speeds.
In the BIOS i'm able to see the 2133Mhz.
I've then tried MSI Command Center, which states the memory at 2133Mhz.
Also MSI Intel Extreme Tuning Utility states the same 2133Mhz.
But, when i get to windows (7) and i run any benchmark, cpu-z or Aida64, all of them detect the memory speed at 677Mhz - which i know needs to be multiplied by 2 to get the actual speed, which means, it's stuck at 1333Mhz.
So, my question is: how do i get my memory to get, at least (as i'm not yet overclocking any of the components of my build) to 1600Mhz as the processor and motherboard state as supported without overclocking?

They also asked if the XMP is activated now - the answer is yes.
