MSI Gaming 7 SATA ports

quick question probably nothing to do with MSI directly but I just bought a MSI gaming 7 mother board and MSI nvidia 970 card for a new build.  Everything is up and running but both SSD drives have slow writes.  they Crucial MX 100 (256 and 512)  both writes are 65 mbps and should be well above that. 

few questions I randomly chose SATA slots based on easy access but I think only 6 are direct to motherboard ?  I think I used slot 1 and 8 for my SSD's.  should I only use certain slots?

Anything in the BIOS need to be tweaked to get full speed out of an SSD for that motherboard?  AHCI or anything?

Hi,

Switch to ports 1&2, make sure you use SATA III cables, Ahci mode in BIOS. If that still gives poor results, do >>Clear CMOS Guide<< with power cord removed.
If still bad, follow this >>Posting Guide<< and make sure to mention BIOS version.
