Let me start of by saying I had Logitech Cordless rumblepad 2 that work flawlessly up till 8 month ago and I bought F710 from logitech, that controller is night day difference from the cordless rumblepad 2 in which it is a NIGHTMARE. Laggy issue at 2 feet forget at 6 more more, constant blinking red as it lost connections to receiver,  left stick start griding and squeaking with in months not 10 + years like with the cordless rumble pad 2, long story short that is gona be replace by logitech again as it still under warranty.

I am not fan of xbox controller design I dont like the dpad and stick being swtich never did, but I been thinking of getting this MSI GC30 as backup or total replacement. I want "pc" game pad with native support in windows for both d/x input and it wireless ( though bluetooth would probably be better for lag) and the MSI GC30 is actual available in states now, and it same price i pay for the nightmare f710, I do have question.

1. Does the MSI button act like steam home button too like the logitech button on the F710?
2. the trigger buttons are they stiff or soft? cause f710 trigger buttons are really stiff and unconformable have strain my fingers to push and hold those tiggers cause there is alot resistance (comparison DS4 triggers buttons are 4 times easy to push comapred to the F710)

3. How is the lag on the pad? at say 6+ feet more like 9 feet where i usual am when I use game pads  and how are the analog stick  there not squeaky are they? I can understand  that happen after 5+ years but not with years time, and frankly I use my ps4 and it controller way more then I use PC to play its games with controler so we talking light use for pc gamepad in comparsion.

4. it dont disconnect from receiver constantly does it?

1. No, it doesn't. On Windows 10 it opens a Windows overlay of sorts that allows me to adjust the volume, record/take screenshots, that sort of thing. I tried Steam's Big Picture mode and it does exactly the same thing.
2. They're soft (softer than a PS4 controller's triggers) in my personal opinion, but your tastes may vary.
3. I don't play far away from my computer, so I can't answer that question. I will say that I've been having lots of connectivity issues with my particular unit, sadly. Regarding the analog sticks: no squeaks that I'm aware of so far.
4. Mine sadly does. I've seen a couple of people in this forum complain about it. It either A) works brilliantly for hours or B) refuses to function unless I constantly uninstall and reinstall its driver. That may not necessarily apply to your unit and it may be a Windows problem, though. I've been trying to sort it out, but was unable to so far.

Update to my previous reply: other modes appear to be fine for a quick connectivity test, but I'll have to do a long term test to find out if this actually solves its problem.
(In case you don't know: the GC30 comes with four modes: Default, Analog, Digital and Android. The latter pretty much explains itself, but so far the only difference I've found between Default and the other two PC modes is the MSi button no longer bringing up that overlay I talked about.

Update: They sort of do, but the controller layout isn't recognized by games. I recommend sticking with the Default (first two lights on) mode.
I have also learned that the MSi button can be used as a Steam Overlay button if you change the controller's settings on Steam's Big Picture mode correctly.
