But "boy oh boy" will I ever dare to buy a top-tier MSI laptop again...
Hello, sorry for bothering you, but my GE76 Raider 12UH is suffering the same issues as you. I Bought it in April 2022 and received it on exactly 1 June 2022. At first, I thought that this was an issue about the heat in general, and bought the IETS GT-500 as my cooling pad, but guess what, that's not fixing the issue. May I know how you fix this issue ? Thanks in regards

I just send it to a service center and got a motherboard swap. It was a warranty job. This was clearly a day one hardware failure. Bad GPUs or mux switch. There's no guarantee that you have the same problem
Is there anything that I can do to make sure what the problem is ? I want to make sure if I need a Warranty Job or not

The same problem that I had with the same solution. In my case, the motherboard was replaced two times before getting solved the issues (two faulty motherboards... can you believe it?). Two months with the device in the service centre... But nowadays it works perfectly. I hope for a long time, but who knows...

You can try reinstalling graphic drivers, perform a clean boot or to be 100% sure it's not a software/driver problem You can backup your important files and then perform F3 to restore to the factory system. Do not connect to any network to observe whether the problem will occur again within factory environment after the system restoration is completed.

IMO all these things are a waste of time. If you have random freezing problems that force you to do hard resets to your laptop, and those problems become more and more frequent, you have a motherboard issue.

I have a new MSI Raider GE76 12UE , that is freezing after boot into Windows 11, for 1-2 minutes. The system is not completely frozen, ie I can move the mouse cursor, but it does not respond to user input during this time, ie I can't open a program, or close a program, or change focus of the active window.

After a couple minutes, it becomes responsive, then later during use, the problem comes back. I bought this new system to replace my old Alienware which was doing the exact same problem. The main common factor is they are both using Intel Integrated graphics plus the Nvidia discrete GPU also in a hybrid mode. I am using multiple video outputs to different monitors so on the MSI it uses both the Intel GPU for the USBC outputs, and the Nvidia GPU for the DisplayPort and HDMI outputs.

I've updated to the latest Windows updates, and MSI recommended driver versions, and it still persists. I tried updating to a newer Nvidia driver than MSI's, no difference.

Any ideas?

If you have the exact same problem on different systems naturally you should check you environment. Meaning system settings, drivers and software. Windows nowadays tend to carry settings and apps across devices especially if you have a microsoft account. Or as cesar suggested above not to play guessing games and just send it to a service center.

I have the same issue with my brand new MSI GE76 Raider 11UH here in Uruguay. Anyone knows how should I proceed with the support center. All the diagnostics run succesfully so I guess that might be an issue with some driver/firmware, the thing is that theres no one evidence in the event log about what cause the freeze.

Did you reinstall MSI-test graphics drivers?
Here are the tutorial for you.
