Hi fokes,

I'm struggling with the following;

Recently I received a graphic card from a friend of mine, the MSI Geforce GTX 760 2 GB gaming. I installed the graphic card in my computer but windows device manager is not detecting the video card. I also checked for hidden devices, but it is not showing. I did some research and I think my (very old) motherboard, MSI MS 7740 v 1.2 might not support the graphic card. I was wondering if anyone can confirm this or knows how to fix the issue?

Mobo: MSI MS-7740 ver 1.2 H61MA-E35
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10 Ghz
RAM: 8GB (DDR3)
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 760 2 GB
OS: Windows 10 (x64)

Hi
The board's BIOS would have to be based on Intel ME version 8, otherwise modern cards will not work.

Can I upgrade my BIOS to version 8? I tried to install the latest BIOS version, but somehow when I download it from msi website I only get a .exe file that reboots when used from a USB pen stick and then does nothing.
