I've recently purchased this keyboard and everything works except the afterburner button not opening afterburner. But then I realized that the button I circled here on the photo doesn't light up in the Custom Mode. It works in any other lighting animation combos. I've reinstalled MSI Center or resetted the keyboard, no luck.

Is this caused by a firmware bug? Should I send it to MSI service? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

do you have Afterburner & MSI Center installed and keep them running in the background?

FYI: The issue was duplicated and MSI people are working on a solution.
Until then:
Use FN+F1 hotkey to open Afterburner:
- Both MSI Center and Afterburner installed
- MSI Center running in the background
- Press Fn+F1 hotkey to start MSI Afterburner

I've done all of those things and still that button doesn't work. Is MSI working on the lighting issue for the custom mode or you mean the Afterburner button? I can live with Afterburner button not working but that button not lighting up in custom mode is bugging me a lot more.

MSI Center 2.0.22.0 is released today, can you check again?

you can use this uninstall tool to clean up the current MSI Center in your system :christmas:
New version fixed this issue now. That key is working as expected in the custom mode. Cheers, thanks. Also, I got a question and can't find the info anywhere, is this keyboard hot swappable? I accidentally damaged the delete key and I want to get it replaced with another switch.

I've never done one myself, but this post says you might need to do some soldering to swap the switch o_O
