MSI Glutch GM20 Elite Firmware update and stopped working ?

Hi, I just received the MSI Glutch GM20 Elite mouse plugged it in was working fine, opened MSI Center it wasnt under mystic light went into gaming gear and came up with notification of firmware update which I selected yes it went through the process and than message unplug and re plug mouse back in, I did that and now the cursor isnt working and some of the other buttons are just doing random stuff ?

any ideas ?

So reading through this forum and seeing others getting same issue looks like the mouse is dead ? really ? it went through the firmware update process fine so you release update that kills product ?

Also I dont understand as I have MSI x570 unify board I installed MSI Center 1.0.20.0 dated 2021-05-17 which is on the x570 unify page for downloads, but when I goto MSI Glutch GM20 Elite product page support it has MSI Dragon Center 2.0.112.0 dated 2021-06-10 to download why different ?

I also have G50 elite keyboard which works fine in MSI Center

I did yes didnt resolve , contacted MSI and was told to return to retailer

I receieved replacement I didnt want to do the same and use MSI Center to update like before , I use MSI Center on my main PC so on laptop I installed MSI Dragon Center and it updated firmware on mouse and working fine, so plugged it into PC and its coming up on MSI Center fine and all working

not sure what happened with the other one only difference is that MSI Center tried to update firmware on , what is the difference between MSI Center 1.0.20.0 dated 2021-05-17 and MSI Dragon Center 2.0.112.0 dated 2021-06-10 ?

MSI Center is more like a successor of Dragon Center, I'm also not sure why updating through MSI Center will fail though.

not sure why maybe was just unlucky, and on the MSI Glutch GM20 Elite page on download it has MSI Dragon Center 2.0.112.0 dated 2021-06-10 which is newer than MSI Center 1.0.20.0 dated 2021-05-17 which I downloaded from the MSI x570 unify page and its older ?

The latest MSI Center is 1.0.22.0 dated 2021-06-17, just for your reference.

I hate to raise this from the dead, but it's 2023 and I just had this exact same problem with my mouse. It's now in RMA repair for several weeks. So MSI still hasn't resolved this issue from happening. Hopefully this can be a warning for anyone else buying the same mouse.

can you see GM20 ELITE after resetting the mouse like this post said? do you remember which firmware version is it?

I didn’t remember what firmware, i think its the latest, i already try the left+mid+right, i think the mouse is reset because of the light, in my mystic light and gaming gear i didn’t see the mouse, i already try my mouse in the other pc it didn’t work also

I ordered this mouse too, in few days I'll have it in my hands. I'm using an msi laptop GF66 with msi center installed, should i update the firmware through center or just keep it plugged and play to avoid any problems?? Thanks in advance.
