Hey everyone,

I'm planning to make a complete update of my GS63 tomorrow, going to swap the SSD for a 960 Evo, the HDD for a 850 Evo, the Killer 1535 wifi for a Intel 8260 and the thermal paste i'm debating between CLU or ICD (Which one would you use?). My questions:

-Will the 960 Evo be recognized automatically in the BIOS for installing W10 or do I have to change anything?

-I've heard in some forums that the back hinge cover seems not to fit well after taking out the back panel, is there any way to fix this?? Mybe glueing it or something?

- First boot seems not to be responding after disconnecting the battery. Does the laptop need to be plugged in or maintain the button pressed for some time?

Thank you everyone in advance!

Theoretically, I think it could work. But it will be hard for someone tell you the hardware compatibility between your SSD and MSI notebook. You could check with following guide for storage info.

It depends on your skill? Do you have any experience for installing SSD on MSI notebook? Or reinstalling & clone the system? If not, I would recommend let service shop or repairing center to help you on this.

Do [Reset] and check before adding SSD. After finish the process, attach back the AC adapter for power on the device.

How to do the [EC Reset]?

Remove the AC adapter and insert the straighten paper clip to [Reset hole] which is located at the left/right side of notebook or the back cover.
