MSI GS70 stealth pro (red) wifi card issue, motherboard??

I bought my MSI GS70 stealth pro (red) around thanksgiving a year or two ago. Ever since then I've had quite frustrating experiences with the wifi. The card that it came with was the killer 1525 i believe and occasionally it would just stop working completely and id only have ethernet. No wifi in menu bar and no wifi network adapters in the device manager. Then it seemed to randomly come back and randomly stop working. Sometimes id sleep/restart a lot and it would come back. I tried every driver from msi and killer and still to no avail. 

So after dealing with that for sometime i replaced the 1525 with an intel wireless card. Same issues! it works about 75% of the time. So for the down times i got a usb wifi adapter to supplement it. However, when the wifi card disappeared, i tried the usb wifi and it can see networks and connect, but no internet. I tried with several wifi networks. The usb wifi adapter does work when the regular wifi works, but thats obviously not very helpful. 

So what i have surmised is that whatever is wrong with it, is not wireless cards. After trying 2 different ones and a usb wifi adapter, none work when its having the issue. So what could it be?? motherboard maybe?? if so how do fix it, update?? If so how do i see what motherboard i have and where do i go for an update.

Honestly i have no idea, it seems to be random. I know when it first started happening i would sleep/restart the computer until it started working again. It seemed like it worked, but could have just been a coincidence. That method hasn't worked very well recently. 

All i know is whenever i turn my computer on, its a guessing game whether it'll work or not. That seems to be the times it changes. Sometimes it'll work the next day when i start it up, or sometimes ill start it up 3 days in a row and it still won't work.

Well i did the BIOS update just now because it wasn't working again and afterwards it switched back on so it appears to be working for now. thanks! hopefully this will stick. 

although the BIOS did tell me its was an older version before i did the flash update... i went ahead anyways and it seemed to have fixed it, for now anyway.
