MSI GS76 Stealth UG - Thunderbolt 4 port not working with any docks

When attempting to plug in to my thunderbolt dock, the USB devices will connect, but ethernet will not connect and nor will the monitor that I am using. When trying to trouble shoot I tried reinstalling the drivers off of the MSI Support site and could not find anything. Emailed the support team and am waiting on a response, but want to see if anyone else had experienced this issue before or knows a solution. It’s not the dock as it works on my dell latitude 7490 and on my wifes HP Omen X with out an hitches.

The thunderbolt controller from intel also reads that I should have 2 thunderbolt ports when it only has one.

Check BIOS version on MSI.com
Reset EC afterward.
Clean install the Thunderbolt driver too.

Did you connect to the right port? There are 2 Type-C ports on the laptop and only one is Thunderbolt.

Yeah I tried all that. I connected to the thunderbolt, not the type c. Though funnily enough when I do connect to the type c port the monitor comes up (but doesn’t work, which is to be expected)

Can't be sure. Could be a compatibility issue.
