I bought this laptops at NewEgg and  i found out that this laptop have problem with fps lag and fps drop so i call newegg ask for a replacement. so i got a new msi gt80s and i tested with diablo3 it still have problem with fps drop and fps lag so call them again for another replacement and i tested again with diablo 3 and still have the same problem so i test it with other games like BF4 and csgo it still the same. so i download some benchmark software like valley benchmark i could see that the fps drops it makes fps lags. so i figure to call msi for help they help me reset my laptops and it does not help at all, so i send it in to msi let them look at it they says nothing wrong with this laptops i was like if you use the valley benchmark you guys will find the problem but they said they cant find any problem with it. so i was guessing they might fix the problem. after i got the laptop back i runs the games, it the sames the fps still drops and fps lags. so i download more games to test i found out that GTA 5 and rise of the tomb raider could run max setting with out any problem but games like BF4, csgo,cf, ava they all have the problem with fps lag and fps drops. the computer is always plugging and running on the max graph setting. pls help me solve this problems i do not understand why this laptop has problem like fps lag and fps drop in low graphic games like ava i could play it on i5 laptop getting (155 fps) on msi gt80s gtx970m sli i could only get 170fps and fps lags fps drops. pls help me solve the problem
i have try to reinstall windows 10 it still have the same problem so i think it might be the problem with windows 10 so i install windows 7 on it, it still have the same problem, so i used the backup get back to windows 10
msi said there nothing wrong with the hardware i agree with that because i could run gta5 and rise of the romb raider on max setting without problem.
i just could not think of any reason why i could only play that 2 games now i have had this laptop for 3 month and still cant think of anything that might fix the problem...... people please help me solve this problem !!!

hi, try to put another configuration of your graphics card, in choise of high, put in middle. also i have a geforce 610m and i have the nvidia software and it upgrades some fps, because it put the best configuration for that game

on gta and rise of the tomb raider it is on highest setting but on ava i put it on lowest setting it sill the same it has fps lag

when you play GTA5 do you play single player of mutiplayer, because it seems all the game that lags are online games, could it be you internet?

Someone told me before thatyou can have the fps problem by having many games is a malfunction in the Nvidia graphics card there is the same problem in other computers.

Use optimum settings on every option the rise every setting level one by one there are certain chances that may be every game have different problems in configuration . your laptop have amazing configuration . and if you don't mind try to decrease your display settings to minimum then rise them one by one Sir if you shift your game files on your ssd instead of your hard drive may be frame rate issue decrease or become less frequent

i used to have this problem in my gt80 , gtx 980m sli , just update all drivers , and msi programs , and nahimic and it should be fixed

Try the nvidia control panel and make sure it is running the game with the 970s instead of intel graphics which it sometimes does to conserve power. It should be under application settings.

I think the problem is the driver.
Do you update nvidia game ready driver every time??
Because some weeks ago when i play gta 5 with my gtx 1060 its a bit laggy, but after i update the driver, it become smooth again.
So, you should check your driver and you can also download nvidia geforce experience for more help. This is the download link http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/download.
I hope you can solve your problem with this.

I thinks that VGA driver bug problem dude.
try to use original driver from MSI site. if stiil have this problem, try to check other hardware like processor, RAM, or system storage. check the temperature too, maybe some how any incompatible driver make your laptop reach max temperature limit and the hardware will decrease the core clock to decrease that temp.
i hope you can fix that goddest laptop which really i want

One thing you could try is disable windows driver updates (system - advanced system settings - hardware - device installation settings - check no), uninstall the current nvidia driver using DDU and reinstall one provided on the website for your model. (how to use ddu by msi). Make sure that you have "high performance" set under "manage 3D settings" in nvidia control panel for the games that give you issues (or globally). It probably won't help but it's worth trying.

Hey there, it's possible that your FPS drop could be related to ESO being on your HDD instead of your SSD. Games tend to run smoother on SSDs due to faster data access times. You might want to consider moving it if you can free up some space. Also, check for background processes and make sure your drivers are up to date. Hope this helps!

Why would you unplug the cable when you are gaming ? The nvidia/amd card needs alot of power and it’s impossible to get that from the battery.
