Hi Guys,

Does the GT83VR support "above 4GB Decoding"?  I want to hook up an external PCIe card that requires this and I am using a thunderbolt 3 to PCIe interface to connect the card to the laptop.  I can't seem to find the option on the BIOS to enable this, so was wondering if this is done automatically. Any help is much appreciated...

Regards,

This should be a fairly easy question that can be answered by tech.  Does the BIOS support above 4GB decoding or not?

Not sure about the [above 4GB Decoding] status. But the external graphics always have many kinds of problems and it will need the device and notebook vendor to provide the solutions together. As far as I know, any of external graphics won?t work with GT83VR series.

I am not planning on installing a video card using the thunderbolt3 interface, but a different type of PCIe card.  Who would want to install a graphics card when you have TWO GTX1080s on this laptop?  It would be helpful if you can approach the BIOS/tech guys and ask if it is supported...

Thanks,

QG
