ZERO FROZR:
Smart cooling, stay quiet.
MSI?s Twin Frozr V Thermal Designs are equipped with Zero Frozr technology which was first introduced by MSI back in 2008. Zero Frozr technology eliminates fan noise in low-load situations by stopping the fans when they are not needed. Compared to other graphics cards, there is no continuous hum of airflow to tell you there?s a powerful graphics card in your gaming rig. This means you can focus on gaming without the distraction of other sounds coming from your PC.
The box is pretty, but it could be a little bit more fancy, this is after all Nvidia top card (beside Titan). The card comes with an DVI-VGA adapter, 1x 8-pin Power Cable, Manual and a driver CD. This is a little disappointing, at this pricepoint I would like MSI to bundle up at least one MSI Premium SLI bridge or maybe two. (2x lane and 4x lane.)
<-- This SLI bridge should be bundled with top class graphics cards.
Anyway, the card itself looks amazing, matches MSI dragon colors (BLACK & RED) and that's nice if you already own a MSI gaming motherboard!
The card is comes with 2 fans and they will not turn on before temp is higher than 50-60 C. So totally silent until high load, and even after that the card remains pretty silent.
The card also has some LEDs on it's side, and MSI Gaming APP let u choose 3 different "animations" for this led. No color changing whatever.
The card is also equipped with HDMI 2.0, a nice feature if you want to connect this card to your 4K TV or use it in an HTPC. The h.264 and h.265 encoder is updated to support better performance in h.264 and up to 60 fps @ 4k with h.265 encoder!
I can easily recommend this card, if you want a high performing card and low noise with OC potential this is the card to choose.
