Hi,

I have installed Windows XP on my notebook MSI GX620-20FR
http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1529
and I want reactivate SATA in BIOS (the reactivation causes a crach system in start up, I think, because xp not found the appropriate driver).
What can I do?
Is there  drivers or ... ?

Any advice is welcome.

Thank you very much.

Can you clarify what means "I want reactivate SATA in BIOS"? Or which one BIOS option you are referring too?

before my xp installation, I deactivate SATA;
I mean, in my bios I changed the value of "Configure SATA#1 as" from "AHCI" to "IDE".
And now I want to reactivate it. if it is possible.

There is no idea to do that, AHCI is not faster. Keep it as IDE.

Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager ==> http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=2101
or do new fresh OS installation and load AHCI drivers with "F6".

OK, I keep it as IDE.
You helped me a lot today, Thank you.

Excuse me, but where did you get the drivers for this NB for the XP operating system?
I am very interested in those, thank you.
