hi all am willing to by msi gx620

i think its a great notebook but i want to know 1 thing before buying it

x64 drivers?

i found xp and vista drivers and also read some comments that it is working perfectly on windows 7

but i want to know where to download the vista x64 and xp x64 drivers

cause as you know that this notebook is 4gb ram and also its processor supports x64 operating systems (xp,vista, linux), but the 4gb ram will not be read completely by any means on 32 bit operating system

cause i had these problem with an acer notebook it reads 4gb only by its vista 32bit recovery edition
but if i tried to install windows vista 32 from an original dvd but not its recovery disk it write 4GB of Ram (used 3.25)!!

so can u insure to me that it will work on these operating systems x64 without making any problem and i can find its drivers?(xp x64,vista 64, linux 64)

can i find the answer here?

n.b : i am willing to install x64 operating systems cause i have x64 programs such as (autocad,3dsmax,...)

Hi SigmaZero,

I have a GX620, and am running Vista Home Premium x64 without any problems.

Most MSI drivers do include x64 drivers inside the archives (on the CD?), or you can download them from the manufacturer (graphics-NVIDIA).
Most of the hardware seems to be quite standard, and you should be able to find manufcaturer/alternate drivers, but of course they may not be fully supported/compatible (?)

I have not found any problems so far, and the system is quite stable for me.

I have also installed some Linux distros to try out, and there seems to be no issues with x64 installation and/or performance (but then, I am not that 'fluent' in Linux, so I am not quite sure what to expect...)

Sorry if I can't be or any more help, but it is really your decision. All I can say that it supports x64 well and that I'm happy with the notebook (so far, 3 months and counting)
