MSI GX700 VGA drivers update

Hi,

I've got MSI GX700, prod. number 1719x.

Graphic card NVIDIA Geforce 8600M GT.

Downloaded new VGA drivers from here: http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1227

Still using WinXp Home 32Bit and downloaded proper VGA drivers: XP32 Ver: 6.14.11.5666.

All other drivers are up to date, including latest BIOS.

When application is finished says: "Your system has not been changed" and there was no update and still older drivers are OK.

Tried manually through device manager and when it is finished  says: "The parameter is incorrect".

Also tried fully uninstall old drivers but same thing happen.

Any help please.

No, I didn't.

Good that you are online.

I think that driver cleaner can not help in this case.

I tried older VGA drivers from MSI that worked so far (I saved them when i bought GX700) and now even they can not be installed.

Now I am in trouble.

All because of greed for a newer drivers ... my fault for sure, not anybody else.
 
Have you installed chipset drivers and such before the VGA drivers? As you should.

However, I don't see why you are in trouble.
You can simply goto device manager and unload the current driver and try to install then again.
Or boot with F8 -> VGA MODE -> Install driver

However, if all that fails, simply use Drivercleaner and get rid of the current drivers.

I did download recommended Driver Cleaner Pro from Guru3d and perform complete uninstall, but install mentioned VGA drivers didn't finished with success.

But, I tried install drivers through Safe Mode and it comes nice and clean.

After restart, I've checked driver and it is new one.

Hopefully, MSI will update further their recommended drivers, because in the times of drivers 17x.xx we are still on 156.66.

Oh they will, however, don't update for no reason.
If it works fine, just stick with it.
Only update if you must or it fixes something.
