I got the only 1 stick of ram working. If 2 sticks of 10999cl7d-4gbxh are sitting in the board, after few boots, BSOD will appear resulting to can't boot and can't reinstall mode.
I have to pull one stick of ram out to make it work again. I tested the memory sticks they all passed. So I'm suspecting now the motherboard compatibility issue.

My ram should be 7-7-7-22, this appeared correctly in the bios however cpuz memory tab displayed 9-10-10-25

My bios version is 1.7, how can I upgrade it? The HQ USB tool doesn't detect my msi motherboard.

I always look at it more like the RAM is incompatible with the mainboard & the designed platform. :lol_anim:

Do you have CPUID's CPU-Z utility? If so, in the SPD Tab, does it show a JEDEC profile for 667(1333)? Currently, compatible RAM for Sandy Bridge is DDR3 1333, 9 9 9 24 @ 1.5v's. Set the RAM up to these specs, & it should work without fail.

Svet would be the one to have an answer to this question concerning the mainboard recognition.

oh really? sandy bridge not compatible with c7?

I tried to adjust the dram timing however I can't find the option in bios.

I only found the advanced dram timing enabled nothing else follows. Can't find the cas latency thing. Help :*(

Didn't quite mean it like that. I've had RAM work with Sandy Bridge at 1333, 6 6 6 17, but if it won't work at the standard of 1333, 9 9 9 24 @ 1.50v's, then there is a problem. Hope all is fine now too. :-))

Added: You might still be able to get the tighter timings to work, but DRAM V. may need a boost not to exceed 1.65v's. 1.55 to 1.60 may be worth a try. If it fails, returning to the 9 9 9 24 is easy enough.
