MSI H97M-G43 motherboard: new build crashes on youtube videos in chrome

I am having problems with a new build with these parts:

MSI H97M-G43 motherboard
Intel I5-4690
Seasonic G550
2 x 4 GB Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3-1600
Noctua NH-L12 cpu cooler
Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 240 GB SSD (from previous build)
WD Green 3 TB Hard Drive (from previous build)

Everything is brand new except the drives (they're from an old machine running perfectly for 2 years).  The new machine seems to be fine, but as soon as I play any youtube video in Chrome the PC either locks up permanently or goes to blue screen (code x00000124).  I've installed all the latest drivers from the MSI website.  I'm using integrated graphics on the CPU, and I have latest Intel video driver installed.  Things I've tried:

1.  Windows 8.1 pro, Windows 7 Ultimate - installed both clean and same issue.
2.  No crashes with youtube videos in Internet Explorer 11.
3.  No crashes with videos played in VLC.
4.  The only other crash I've seen is with videos playing in Plex Home Theater, although that takes a bit longer to happen.
5.  Installed discrete graphics (Nvidia GTX 670), same problem.  That graphics cards is running fine in another machine for 2 years.
6.  Youtube video + chrome doesn't crash in safe mode with networking.

I'm running out of ideas.  Is it time to RMA this board?  It really doesn't seem like it could be any other component at fault here.

Ok, then lets try for general stability. Run >>IntelBurn test<< at maximum stress level for at least ten times monitoring cpu temps while doing so. Also add the bios version the board is at.

BIOS is latest version (2.7).  I'll try burntest tonight.  I did look at temps before with realtemp and it was maxing in the 30's on desktop stuff.

The strange part of this problem is that I blue-screen every time so quickly in exactly one use case (youtube video playback + Chrome).  It smells like a bad video driver or video hardware, but I have the latest drivers and I've tried both integrated graphics and GTX 670 graphics card.  Can a motherboard problem cause this kind of behavior?

Any idea about BIOS settings that might be worth checking?  I've been testing with everything set at default settings.  At one point I tried downclocking the RAM (didn't help) so I went back to optimized defaults.  I also wanted to try disabling integrated graphics, but I couldn't find anywhere to do that.
