This is my second time, my Hinge got broken. Also it is not like I use it daily with rought handling. When it first got broken I went to service center where I was charged Rs 5500 for the fix. Now again it is broken. This is not fair for any one to spend this much money on hinge problem, which is due to MSI build quality, which always existed and I had no clue before buying.
 
I've opened my laptop a total of about 20 times in the 1year + 8 days since I bought it. Today the left hinge disintegrated and the video cable has apparently come dislodged because the screen no longer works.

I am extremely careful with my equipment. I have a Dell Latitude 7480 that I've owned for 3 years and it's solid as a rock.

The worst part is finding out that MSI has known about this issue for years and done nothing. 8 days out of warranty, unreal.

I encountered a troubling issue with my MSI GS77 Stealth laptop recently. Yesterday, I noticed that the left hinge is unexpectedly broken. Despite taking meticulous care of my laptop, treating it as delicately as one would a child, this unfortunate event occurred seemingly out of nowhere. There isn't even a scratch on it otherwise. Now, I find myself in a dilemma as I'm unsure where to procure the original parts for repair.

Could anyone provide guidance on where I might obtain the necessary components?

Only once I had a broken hinge which I fixed using epoxy. Epoxy is durable and non conductive so its ideal for fixing problems.
I agree that MSI laptop plastic is substandard

Congratulations to msi for making a gravity defying screen. joking aside msi should be ashamed of itself.
I'm having the same problem for the second time and my warranty has expired.
i will not buy msi anymore and will not recommend it to anyone.

my grandson had the same problem so he gave it to me to fix and i ordered replacement hinges from a place in China and installed them but the reason they break is the nuts are too tight on the hinges so before replacing them you have to use a 5mm socket and oil to loosen the hinges and then reinstall them which isn't easy but good luck.
