Hello,

I've bought a MSI Katana B12VFK about 6 months ago. I am using it with one external screen but now i want to upgrade my gaming station to 2 screens (one QHD and one FHD). And my question is there a possibility to actually connect two screens to this laptop? I've got only one HDMI socket, I was thinking about replicator hub with connection for the one and only USB-c socket in laptop - but I read that this socket is only for data? I am not sure because all of forum posts about it was for Katana GF66 - and i think that's the previous generation.

On the other hand if this socket is only for data there is a possibility for me to connect only hub with USB so I can connect only my mouse, mic etc to it and by one cable to my laptop?

And last but not least can anyone recommend any hub/docking station for this laptop?

Thank you in advance and have a great day!

Well you have a type C to DP on your Katana, so yes you can, as for the hub I use the one below and I like it a lot.

Like drek4 says you have the type C to DP port. I just brought the following hub as I wanted the extra USB A ports (Which I have all of them full) as well as USB C ports. It works great without an external power source, which blew me away given the number of devices I have plugged into it.

Question: does the USB-C port on B12VFK, which has the sign of "SS +USB logo", really support multi-monitor display, especially "Alt DP"?
If mine doesn't, any solutions, such as a driver? Need TWO more monitors display independently, one HDMI w/ splitter doesn't seem like a solution. Thanks in advance.

Refer to the document, the type C port on your laptop supports display function.

Your MSI Katana B12VFK's USB-C port is data-only, so for dual monitors, use an HDMI splitter (mirrors display) or a USB-to-HDMI adapter; for peripherals, a USB hub works fine.
