I wanted to try to update the firmware of the Dinamic Dashboard (HOPING to solve another problem!) and instead I discover that when I click on the advanced scan button of the live update, thousands of cmd.exe windows begin to open on repeat and I can do nothing but press the reset button. I'm using windows 11 and I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling and suspending antivirus protection. Incredible!

EDIT: cmd opens thousands windows trying to load c:\windows\temp\liveup~1\tools\pd_fw_~1\wpd_fw~1.bat

Is MSI Center the latest version 2.0.68.0?
Please provide full system configuration including the mainboard's model name, mainboard's BIOS version, MSI Center version as the post advises: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threads/posting-guide.38822/
You could uninstall MSI Center with Clean Center Master then restart the system and install MSI Center to check.
Clean Center Master is available for download from MSI Center download page: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MEG-X870E-GODLIKE/support#utility

For most PCs, there’s no need to install antivirus software.
Windows Defender is sufficient.
Downloading antivirus software
will only slow down your PC’s performance.
I understand if it’s for work purposes,
but if it’s not for work, there’s no need to install it
or download it.
Most antivirus programs just pop up annoying pop-up windows.
You don’t need to install an antivirus program because the default Windows antivirus is already installed,
so the Windows antivirus is sufficient on its own.
Most program crashes are caused by antivirus programs,
which trigger errors and unexpected conflicts.
MSI may pressure you to install 360 Security,
but there’s no need to do so.
It’s not free—it’s a paid product.
If you want an antivirus program,
try installing Avast.

However, I recommend using only the built-in Windows antivirus without installing any additional antivirus software.

MSI Center is v2.0.68.0. I'm using Kaspersky Plus. I want to point out that MSI Center has never had problems, even having Kaspersky active; Some time ago I had also performed the advanced scan without any problem. Unfortunately, due to lack of time, I had decided to postpone the firmware update of the Dynamic Dashboard. To be safe, however, I also tried to reinstall and use MSI Center both with Kaspersky deactivated and with Kaspersky totally uninstalled and the problem still remained. The only software installed in recent times has been VMWare; I tried to uninstall it but the problem remains. Other than that the system is the same as when MSI Center worked.... the only thing that has changed is Windows with its updates.

Anyway I will try to uninstall everything using Clean Center Master....I will let you know....

EDIT: I tried but unfortunately the problem always recurs ......
