I’m having a strange issue with my MSI MAG 273QP QD-OLED X24 and wanted to check whether anyone else has experienced the same behavior.
System and monitor details:

Examples that can trigger the issue:
When the issue happens:
This is not being caused by automatic input switching from the Nintendo Switch. I am manually changing the input through the monitor menu, and both Auto Scan Input Source and HDMI CEC are disabled.
I have already tried:
I’m having a strange issue with my MSI MAG 273QP QD-OLED X24 and wanted to check whether anyone else has experienced the same behavior.
System and monitor details:
- Monitor: MSI MAG 273QP QD-OLED X24
- Current firmware: FW.120
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070
- PC connection: DisplayPort
- Nintendo Switch connection: HDMI 1
- Resolution/refresh rate: 2560 × 1440 at 240 Hz
- Adaptive-Sync: On
- DSC: On
- Auto Scan Input Source: Off
- HDMI CEC: Off
Examples that can trigger the issue:
- Manually switching between DisplayPort and HDMI 1 through the monitor’s OSD
- Turning Adaptive-Sync on or off
- Changing another monitor setting that temporarily blanks and reinitializes the display
- Occasionally changing refresh-related settings
- The screen goes completely black
- The OSD no longer appears
- The joystick becomes unresponsive
- There is no “No Signal” message
- The monitor’s LED usually remains solid white
- The monitor does not recover by itself
- Disconnecting and reconnecting the monitor’s power restores it
I have already tried:
- Updating to FW.120
- Performing an OSD factory reset
- Disconnecting all HDMI/DisplayPort cables and power
- Leaving the monitor unplugged for several minutes
- Holding the monitor joystick/power button while disconnected
- Reconnecting only the PC through DisplayPort
- Testing with the Nintendo Switch disconnected
Please let me know if you have experience this issue or is there any resolution for this.
