Hi!

A very strange issue with the motherboard.
I built a new PC and initially everything seemed fine. I’ve reinstalled Windows multiple times (at least three clean installs), and I’ve tested both the latest BIOS version and an older one available on MSI’s official website.
Here’s the consistent problem:
After assembling the system, I installed Windows and updated the BIOS. On the first boot, everything works normally. But if I enter the BIOS — even without changing any settings — and then boot into Windows, the system becomes extremely slow. The mouse stutters, keyboard input is delayed, and shutdowns or restarts take several minutes.
However, if I force shut down the PC using the power button on the case and then power it back on — the system behaves normally again. The changes I made in the BIOS also appear to be applied.
This happens every single time after accessing the BIOS. The only way to make the system work normally afterward is to fully power it off and then turn it back on.
I’ve also tested the system on completely factory default BIOS settings, with nothing changed at all — the issue still persists.
To rule things out, I’ve tested with a different set of RAM and used the bare minimum number of USB devices connected — no difference.
At this point, I’m not sure whether I should return the board or wait for a possible BIOS fix. But this behavior is really strange.
System specs: Msi mag b850m mortar, ryzen 7 9800x3d, team group ddr5 6000mhz cl30 (tried with gskill 5600mhz cl40, nothing changed).

I have the same problem. My keyboard lights up and works at boot, after restart my keyboard lights up but doesnt work anymore.
Swapped motherboard but same problem..
MSI please advise, is it a faulty motherboard or is it a bios issue?
