So Im building a new PC and first time using liquid cooling. I purchased a MSI MAG CoreLiquid 240R cooler and installed it in my system. The motherboard is an ASUS AM$ TUF Gaming X570-Plus. The RGB connectors for the cooler do not match the RGB connectors for the motherboard. The cooler uses a 3 pin the motherboard as a 4 pin. What are my options to use the RGB on the cooler? Id rather not deal with the hassle of returning the cooler if I can help it as it was opened and installed already. Below are links to both items.

This board just offers limited RGB LED options. Both headers only support 4-pin (12v) RGB strips and not ARGB LEDs like used on the core liquid. You will need an external controller then.

Aura Sync is a ARGB 5v connector, just make sure you only plug into this one, the other RGB is a 12V (Non Addressable), is the plug closer to the ATX 24 pin plug

So...... I have the same cooler & motherboard as you. Just set this up today. I used the RGB connection coming off the CPU, it's a 3 pin female and a 3 pin male combo. I plugged the 3 hole female to the RGB addressable on the mobo , went thru the case and daisy chained the two fans. I did notice the the female connector was loose on the motherboard tho. I don't know how I going to get around thst loose plug. I'm sitting here in my chair so this is all from memory.

An RGB/ARGB connector is never a very tight fit. What is the problem in your case? Does it work or?

All, similar issue on an ASUS ROG Z590-E Gaming WiFi mobo. I have the MSI MAG CoreLiquid 240R and the pump logo will not light up no matter what I do. I have tried moving it across all the (3) available RGB connectors, to no avail. I also installed the MSI Dragon Center which won't detect the MAG. I also tried detecting it via the AuraSync equivalent for ASUS and although it detects the fans on my MSI MAG cooler and handles them well and syncs them perfectly, the pump logo remains switched off.

Is the pump lighting shot?
