Hi, couple of days ago i finished my build and everything was working allright. But today i've noticed something weird.

My system:
CPU: i9 -13900k
MOBO: MSI MPG Z790 Carbon Wifi
AIO: MSI MEG Coreliquid s360
Case: MSI MEG Prospect 700r

i've built this system so i can render images. but my aio radiator fans are stuck between 740-760 rpm and the temperature shown on the aio is stuck at 37 degrees celsius

even when my MOBO shows 95-99 degrees (led debug), aio screen still shows 37-40 degrees and my case fans and my aio radiator fans are pretty quiet.

i've tried to change the sync mode to MOBO from the case screen but then still my radiator fans are pretty quiet even though my case fans are spinning much more faster. (but their rpm are stuck even with no load)

probably an error related to msi center. i used sync mode to msi center and adjusted the fan curves. but still aio radiator fans are stuck at 740-760 rpm even though my cpu is burning.

what should i do? thanks in advance...

I recently bought a coreliquid s360 and I also have these freezes with version 2.0.36.0
So is anybody working on this problem or should I buy another AIO from a more competent manufacturer ?

Just for info what I tried and what will not work during the freeze:
Unplugging sata and usb connection, watercooler is restarting, however problem persists.
Stopping and restarting msi services in windows - no effect.

It is obvious the application does no longer have communication to the cooler and stats like cpu temperature. RYZEN MASTER will get the correct CPU temperatures all the time.
Depending on load this is really dangerous for the CPU, because there will be no longer a dynamic speed adjustment of the fans.

---

Update: I started RMA process for refunding, I think there will be no solution in the near future, design is nice, but functionality of this AIO is really bad.

Hello.
I just wanted to leave some feedback on the S360 AIO from MSI.

I think the AIO is fine and solid, however the software is a complete different story.
First off, the CPU is a 14900k, and thus the AIO has to be working perfectly well otherwise we all know that this CPU is going to burn itself out.

There are versions where the CPU temp readout will be 0C/Core Clock speed 0Mhz. Because MSI things the temp is 0C, it will not ramp up the radiator fans/pump/etc during heavy gaming load, and thus CPU will thermal throttle eventually.
The latest version has WMI Provider issue, where it seems to be creating constant impact on this service by MSI, causing 4-5% CPU usage, and running CPU Cores at all core speeds. You can find more info here, its been a few months, and we have no fix from MSI
The only option to sort of get a working version is to use 2.0.32.0 version. This version doesn't have issues with WMI Provider, however it does have other issues.
Issue 1 - CPU/Core Clock speed 0Mhz randomly. This results in CPU overheating, and also damaging the CPU.
Issue 2 - All RPM readouts on the Fan settings tab is 0

Then, the most annoying issue, is the auto update. Every time i reboot my PC, i randomly notice WMI Provider issue is back, and ofcourse MSI has auto updated.
This auto update is so frustrating, because the latest version is constantly profiling WMI Provider Service, causing high CPU usage and forcing All Core clock run speed.
I've blocked it from firewall - Still Updates
I've told the App to not update - Still Updates
On reboot of PC, when i start MSI Center, it asks do you want to update, i say skip don't remind me. It Updates.

The last few months have been an absolutely pain in the behind dealing with this AIO. I think physically the AIO is good, however the software is a complete disappointment. MSI is yet to update this issue, i've seen plenty of reddit threads, even here as well about the WMI issue, but nothing is resolved.

As i am running a 14900k i cannot under any circumstance have the AIO fail out on me and cause damaged to my CPU. There is no way MSI will even take remote blame if the CPU Fails and probably blame user error.

Solution for me was, as i saw no updates from MSI, throw the thing in the trash, and went to a Artic Freezer III AIO. Yes no LCD, but i don't care, i can finally get rid of all the crap MSI Services run as well. I still don't know what MSI Voice Control is, clearly it has nothing to do with an AIO but it's still there as a service sitting in the background.

On top of that, every god dam time it reinstall, it resets the setting around sharing data with MSI. Default setting should ALWAYS be Opt out. This should be something the user has to opt in.

Anyway...that's my rant, avoiding all MSI products for future, MSI Center has got to be the worse software i have dealt with, and used.

Just wanted to update. Packed up the S360 away, i checked one more time that night before buying and the stupid app updated, and started triggering the wmi issue along with 0C.
On the AFIII 420mm, soooooooo much better, i have an option to control pump/vrm and fans with one or individual, no need for 3rd party software, i just jump on the bios, setup the fan curve, and thats it. Its running great.

I sold the S360 cheap to a friend, who i explained the issue but he was happy to deal with it.

Imagine using a 13900 or 14900 CPU and have the AIO decide to crap out and you notice temps are 90C while gaming.

I have a CORELIQUID S360, same problem since 2022!
MSI doesn't care as long as the product is sold!

It's always pleasant to smell burning and see the water circuit above 85 degrees.
Please boycott this brand, which has become as cheap as Aliexpress (Taobao for the locals).

Sell your MSI equipment; they have become incompetent at designing!
Don't hesitate to give their products a bad rating and make noise about it!

Hi all
Another one to the list.

MSI center 2.0.41.0
Coreliquid 3.0.0.71
Cooler assistant 1.0.0.01

Coreliquid and cooler assistant software fight for the cooler and fans controls.
Unprecedented. Two plugins of the same Hub, does not know each other.
It is funny that Corsair iCUE does, coming from third party manufacturer.

yes hello

on the topic

MSI MEG B550 UNIFY

MSI MEG S CORE LIQUID 360

MSI 3090TI SUPRIM X

Ryzen 5950x

fck MSI center

all updates fresh including win10 nvidia blabla

System rebuilt, after 2 hours overheating error when switching back on, everything disassembled, checked, reassembled, works, next evening when switching on overheating error again.

screws on pump head slightly loosened, works, after 30 minutes overheating error

new bios, overheating error when switching back on.

it runs well from time to time but not brilliantly and all the values look good.

I suspect the MSI Center is to blame, especially since it's rubbish anyway as ARGB isn't displayed as well as in the Dragon Center and the functions are far too extensive and clash with BIOS settings.

with an €88 Arctic Freezer 2 or 3 it runs great and the fully integrated MSI MEG S CORE LIQUID for €300 is a load of rubbish.

if anyone has a tip, please let me know

yeap, as like manual.

This problem extends to the operating system, even when you just go into the BIOS, that is, the pump does not start when turned on pc.
Hi, did you find a silution to this issue? I've bought S360 last week and it behaves the same... It is random but usually after a full PC restart there is such problem. After 2-3 restart the pump starts normally and it runs fine. The issue does not occur when I hibarnate PC so it looks like some software/driver issue. Especially when sometimes during the restart or shutdown and restart the LCD shows CPU, FUN and PUMP parameters and sometimes it's just the fancy graphic displayes and the parameters are shown afrer MSI Center starts up. This is so frustrating. I'm scared of restarting my PC...

MSI Center software is the biggest crap this company can create. My computer crashes at random times. It is impossible to work on it. For the price of this cooler, everything should be tweaked to perfection. If MSI can't do software right, they better not get involved at all. The company stopped developing some 20 years ago. I do not recommend any components from this manufacturer. They have not been able to deal with the CPU thread locking bug for so long. I have just lost a few hours of my work because my computer decided that it would crash at such a time and damage my files that I have been working on for several months. Keep it up MSI. You are just losing customers. I am totally screwed by the whole situation with your cooling already.
