Similar story as other monitor thread. Basically just bought the 271qrx oled monitor yesterday and today its blinking or rather it will randomly shut off and go back on again. Very annoying. Wonder whats going on. Hooked up to an Evga 3080 ti hdmi 2.1 port at 240 hz using the supplied cable. Wonder whats going on. Should I return it? Get warranty on it at least?

Thanks..

1.Please refer manual on page 16 and modify "Auto Scan" to OFF.
2.Please refer manual on page 19 and modify "Power Button" to Standby.
3.Please refer manual on page 15 and modify "Adaptive-Sync" to OFF.

Please contact store where you buy for return.

Well it went away after shutting off from power and turning back on again. I also invested in a Monster Ultra high speed usb cable.

Will try your suggestions if it comes back.

Thank you

Hey did you have the problem happen again yet?
I already had Fauc's suggested settings as he said to put and my monitor was still going black randomly.

Have you had any issues after getting a new HDMI?

No it hasn't happened again.
Would recommend a better quality cable.
Upgrade the firmware and reset the monitor in the OSD to factory.
RMA it.

I for one got an extended warranty.

Did you really advice to disable adaptive sync, one of the greatest benefits of this monitor?

I am suggest modifying it to disable when flickering.
Fix screen flickering when Gsync or FreeSync is enabled.

Its not because of Gsync or FreeSync nor is it a flicker. The monitor will randomly go black for a solid second and come back.
Its kind of like when video drivers get updated how the monitor will shut off for a second. The only fix I found, though to be
honest have not tried the other solutions short of replacing the cable, was to shut it off and power it down from the wall.

No but it happens rarely enough right now I am not concerned. Got the extended warranty just in case.

Have theory that maybe its a multi monitor issue. Like its trying to negotiate the connection to the second monitor
and it gets confused. Last time this happened was a one time thing but the first time it was multiple on and offs.

Anyhow its a beautiful monitor. Only wish it was a full 27 inches wide. Compared to my Viewsonic 27 inch ELITE XG271QG
and my Acer Predator 27 inch this monitor is 10 mm smaller. Maybe I should of got the 32 inch model as it feels small.

Thanks

Let's hope that this problem is widespread and is solved with the help of new firmware

Did you ever by chance figure out a solution, I just got this monitor and would hate to have to send it back just to get a different one that could potentially have the same issue?

Kind of though not for the best. The flickers went away 95 percent short of a once in a blue moon kind of thing but now dealing with the whole system shutting down while gaming. As I suspect the psu I am having it replaced with a stronger model as the Seasonic Prime PSU I owned had a track record with others of not being able to handle the noise on the 12v rails feeding beefier than normal graphic cards like my Evga 3080 ti FTW3 which burns about +400 watts. So right now I think its a power supply issue maybe its all related. Not sure.

So recently my Msi 271qrx started misbehaving again but this time it would go on and off displaying the hdmi port while in standby when the computers were shut down. Annoying. Thing was clicking all night long. Anyhow checked for new firmware and they just released a new one a month ago that addresses standby issues so maybe they fixed this. Can only hope.
