Hi, so I was recently trying to apply screws into the VESA mounting holes in the back of this monitor when one of them accidentally fell into the back panel holes of my MSI MPG 321URX monitor. I tried to slowly tilt and turn the monitor around to try and get the screw out but, it won't come out at all. I can hear it moving around somewhere but I'm not sure what to do to get it out. I have my monitor setup on a monitor arm now but haven't turned it on yet since I'm unsure if that's a good idea. Should I worry to much about this? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Turning on the monitor in this state is a bad idea. Definitely open the back cover first to remove the screw (do not forget take the fork out of the electric socket!). However, if your monitor is still under warranty, then this will damage the seal. It makes sense to contact a service center.

How can I open the back cover? Wouldn't that void the warranty?

RMA the monitor to avoid voiding warranty. As soon as you break anything, even a stupid plastic latch that probably holds part of the cover together with the rest of the monitor, your warranty is gone..
