I've only had this monitor a week and using HDMI for display port I keep getting random black screen. I have a rtx 5080...happens in game and on desktop. Seems like it happens more on display port but still happening on hdmi. I've did a clan install of the current Nvidia drivers... I've tried so much to solve this .. wondering if I need to return it or hope a firmware update solves it. Open to any suggestions...hoping someone replies with something I haven't tried.

Hi
Can you try any other machine (laptop, desktop, console) to see if that happens there as well?
The fact it happens across 2 different video ports may suggest issue with the card itself rather than the monitor.

I tried so many things...and it just randomly stopped doing it. I have another OLED monitor that this never happened. I tried the 3rd port on my pc and it was still doing it. I dont know...just the next day it's not doing it anymore. It's really driving me nuts that 1 day it's intermittent blank screen and the next day it's perfect. I don't know which is worst.... I'm the kinda guy I just like to know why...lol...at one point I was convinced it was the game pragmata. But even where I was getting graphics studders. That's gone... I've tried multiple games to see if it would blank out..and now everything is solid. Like I'm so paranoid I don't want to touch a single thing...I just can't figure it out.

It may as well be something with the power socket or power cable itself.
Without testing other devices we can't possibly tell what may be wrong. You ruled out video cable and video ports. But it still may be the card itself, monitor, or power cable / power socket. Or Windows? 🤷‍♂️

Yes. Another laptop, desktop or even a gaming console.

Right. But it may also be some weird incompatibility issue. We don't know for certain just yet.

I have not noticed this with my ps5 pro or my switch 2.

I dont have another desktop or laptop.

I've also noticed that i can use the osd to switch to eotf boost and its washed out...i use the osd to scroll over user, premium color and the washed out look goes away..even though I didnt select any of the user, premium color.

I'm sorry if my information isn't helping its just so random. one day i played 3 hrs and no problem...next day i press a key, or just not touching anything and it blanks off. I'm willing to try anything you tell me.

Ok this may narrow things down to the card your PC has or Windows itself.
I would suggest you open a ticket with MSI, and with the retailer you got the monitor from, and see what they say:
>>How to contact MSI.<<
