MSI P65 Creator-9SF Wi-Fi 7 Upgrade to Wi-Fi 7 with BT 5.4 (BE200NGW) - Works Perfectly

Just wanted to share my experience upgrading the Wi-Fi card in my MSI P65 Creator-9SF (Win10 64bit). The laptop originally came with an Intel 9560NGW, which uses CNVi, but I successfully replaced it with a BE200NGW (non-CNVi) without any issues.
System Configuration:
- Motherboard: MS-16Q4 (Rev:1.0)
- CPU: i9-9880H
- RAM: 32.0GB
- SSD: 1TB
- BIOS: E16Q4IMS.313 (2019-04-24)
- OS: Win10 Pro (64bit)
- Old Wi-Fi Card: Intel 9560NGW
- New Wi-Fi Card: Intel BE200NGW (firmware 004, TA: N28351-004)
Results:
1. Wi-Fi 7: Works flawlessly, connects at full speed.
2. Bluetooth 5.4: Fully functional.
3. Compatibility Issues: None – worked immediately after installation.

I couldn’t find confirmation anywhere if this upgrade was possible, so hopefully, this helps someone considering the same upgrade.

Correction: BE200 Wi-Fi 7 on MSI P65 Creator-9SF – BIOS Limitation
I want to issue a correction to my previous post about upgrading my MSI P65 Creator-9SF with the Intel BE200NGW Wi-Fi card. Initially, I reported that the card worked perfectly, but I later discovered a critical limitation that I was unaware of at the time.

When I first tested the BE200, I was connected to a Wi-Fi 6 router, and the card functioned flawlessly. Later, when I connected my laptop to a Wi-Fi 7 network, I noticed that it was still operating under the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard. At first, I thought I had purchased a fake BE200 card. To verify, I ordered another BE200 from a trusted supplier, but the issue remained.

After further investigation, I realized that the problem was not with the card itself but rather with my motherboard (MS-16Q4) and BIOS (E16Q4IMS.318, July 1, 2020). This BIOS does not support the 6 GHz band, which is required for full Wi-Fi 7 functionality. Since my motherboard does not recognize the 6 GHz spectrum, the BE200 is forced to operate in Wi-Fi 6 mode.

Final Conclusion:
- BE200NGW works on MSI P65 Creator-9SF, and there is a noticeable improvement over the previous Intel 9560NGW.
- However, full Wi-Fi 7 capabilities cannot be used due to the motherboard/BIOS limitation, specifically the lack of 6 GHz support.
I sincerely apologize to anyone who was misled by my initial post. If you are considering this upgrade for an older MSI laptop, make sure your BIOS and motherboard support the 6 GHz band before expecting full Wi-Fi 7 performance.
