Due to the fact that the Fan of my Cpu cooler blocked ram slot 1, I placed my 2 Corsair Dominator
2 x 2gb 2133mhz ram sticks in slot 2 and 4.
Strangely enough I could only boot with one stick at 2133mhz but with two sticks my pc would
not boot, and clear cmos was the only remedy.
Today I located the cpu fan at the rear as a test and placed my ram sticks in slot 1 & 3 and
much to my surprise my pc booted nicely.
So eventhough the fan is now located on the wrong side I'm going to monitor the cpu temps
and need be buy a smaller cpu cooler.
so ram slot 1& 3 - 2133 mhz okay - latency 37.8 ns.
I did read the topic stating 1333mhz or max 1600mhz is quite sufficient, but since I already
had this ram on my GB p67aud4 where it ran flawlessly at 2133mhz, it was a more or less
a test to see why the gd80 refused to boot.
