Hi, I have the following motherboard and I am trying to update the BIOS so I can use the motherboard with a 3rd gen. Intel CPU. None of your bios files from the page of the motherboard seems to do the trick. I download the file, put the file on the pen drive (4GB, placed in USB 2.0 slot, formatted correctly in FAT) and once I click ok, the PC restarts after a while and its stuck on a blinking cursor with a 98 in the bottom right corner. If someone happens to have a working BIOS ROM for this motherboard, please provide it, I would like to update through DOS like in the good old days.
Thank you!

From which BIOS to which BIOS version you trying to update it,
and in which flashing steps you follow?

Hi, Svet
I am trying to update from BIOS version1.A to the latest BIOS 4.3, following the steps listed on the website:
*Please download and execute the file in USB pen drive only.
System will restart several times to update ME firmware after updated system BIOS. Please DO NOT remove the USB pen drive until ME update sucessfully.
*Please make sure you have read the SOP before you update the BIOS.

SOP Download: BIOS & ME update SOP

Just wanted to add my thanks @Svet as needed a bios update for new graphics card and link to msi tool and beta bios has worked like a charm.
Process was bit nerve jangling but managed to follow and success!
More life in the ten year old board and SB chip yet.
Even managed to restore my overclock.
Svet you have my thanks and appreciation.

Hi SVET, I downloaded BIOS 443 from you. I have a P67A-GD55 motherboard with BIOS 1.19. I have Windows 11 64bit on my PC. I formatted the 4GB USB using RUFUS. I put Bios 443 on the desktop unzipped. Forum USB flasher 1.57 loads the existing BIOS from the board without any problems, including the ME version. But when I mark the new BIOS 443 from you on the desktop, it tells me that there is no bios. What am I doing wrong? Please advise. Thank you for the answer Zdenek

Ok

Forum USB flasher 1.57 loads the existing BIOS from the board without any problems, including the ME version. But when I mark the new BIOS 443 from you on the desktop, it tells me that there is no bios.

That tool 1.57 even that can detect your current BIOS /ME-FW,
it's not for flashing such old boards.
Because of this it doesn't find your BIOS.
It's intended only for most modern boards.

Use this tool instead:
>>Forum USB flasher<<

I put Bios 443 on the desktop unzipped.

Don't unzip it, use the correct tool above from my link,
and choice Mode1 from the tool,
they point to the whole package:
E7681IMS.zip
with mine valcheck.com included.

Flash went well. Bios 44B3 works. But unfortunately bios does not know the total memory size and therefore windows only reports memory in slot 1. Interestingly, the CPU-Z program reads the memory correctly. I also can't find the right drivers for the chipset-P67 Intel ME Windows 11. Could you send me Bios 4.3 for forum-USB flasher. Maybe it would help. Thanks in advance

So I downloaded all your beta bios from the forum including 4.30 and tried them. Unfortunately the result is still the same. In Bios version 1.19 it was fine, but slots 3 and 4 did not work. I guess there is some hardware problem. Thank you very much for your help.

Should be, yes. As no one else report such issues with those BIOSes (from many thousands within all those years)
You may have a bented pins on CPU's socket or some problem related to the DIMM slots.
(Too much pressure from CPU cooler over the CPU/socket also can cause such issues)

Or maybe some rare compatibility issue with some of your parts used.

P.S: If you prefer you can still go back 1.19 if really works fine in there.

Unfortunately the result is still the same.

Maybe it's OS problem then if BIOS & CPU-Z report memory correctly.
If so try a new clean/fresh OS reinstall after flashing to .4xx BIOS base.

Unfortunately, the BIOS only reads one slot. The CPU-Z application reads two slots. The other two slots do not work at all and if there is memory in them, the BIOS will not start. I will try to check the CPU socket. Thank you
