This (JAUD1 connector) where I plugged in my HD Audio pin.  When I plugged in my headphone jack to the back panel, an notification appears saying that they has detected my headphone, but does not applies to the front panel.  What could be the problem?  I'm using the HAF 912 Chassis

Also, the audio from the back panel I received is not that loud compare to my cheap mp3, it's louder.

the same thing happened to me on both my pc builds and I know it sounds silly but make sure you plugged it in correctly.  the way I had it plugged in looked right until I looked underneath the connector and saw the bottom row of pins.  which of course means I had accidentally plugged the bottom part into the top pins.

For the volume loudness, you have check your OS sound panel settings and make sure that the master volume and wave settings are setting to 80% / 60%.

As you can see, I have everything max out and the issue still persist.  Compare to my cheap mp3 player, the volume is far louder/better than the onboard (back-panel).

How about going to Start button > Run > type "Sndvol32" > Ok. Did you see any advanced settings panel?

on board audio is never really loud enough with headphones and that's especially so using the back port.  its the main reason I normally run a sound card.

Sndvol32: "No Items match your search"
Sndvol: There is something, but it's the volume mixer.

So what do you propose?  I'm just using an normal headphone (Sennheiser HD 201).  Should i resort to buying a soundcard or an external speaker?

Ok, no problem. In the volume mixer, are the Master Volume and Wave Volume tab at above 80% bar?
