Anyone got a bios for MS-7235 that has fixed the bugs?
BOSSKILLER said:what "bugs"? explain what problem you have got? and provide full system specification as well, read Moan Guide

wconstantine said:I'm running bios version 1.6.62 with the motherboard MS-7235 aka. MSI P965 Neo. E6600 @ 2,7 GHz (300x9) FSBRAM 1:1.
Corsair Value S. PC5300 DDR2 2048MB Kit w/two matched Value Select 1024MB running at 600 Mhz. Dual Channel.
450W PSU.
3V 3,31V
+5 5,33V
+12 11,96V
Vcore is at 1.325V by default.
vdimm at 1.9V
Stock cooler idle 39 degrees and 59 at load with orthos prime95 for dual core.
That should be enough of system information?
The bug I have! If I take my FSB to 301 it just dies. I have to reset bios in order to make the computer work again. 300+ and it's gone. I've tried BIOS and Windows clocking. The only difference is that in Windows I don't have to reset bios :lol_anim:
I've disabled Speedstep, C1E, Spread Spectrum, HPET and I'm running my memories at "auto" timers. I've tried with manual there but same problem. The memories run at 4-4-4-12 533mhz in bios but in Windows it shows 1:1. So 600Mhz.
BlueKnight said:This is not a bug....it's normal, Intel are not like AMD that have divider in CPU....the low value for ram it's 533, that it mean at default memory go at 266 like FSB at 266. RAM:FSB = 1:1. RAM 667 are RAM:FSB = 5:4 . RAM 800 are RAM:FSB = 3:2 .
Probably you have not understand this and like functions intel system and you think is a bug!![]()

ver. 169 too?BlueKnight said:1.5 official, all 1.6 Beta, 1.6 official....
and i have hear that whit before versions there is the same problem.
wconstantine said:Could you explain it a little more how I should have it when I wanna run 333 Mhz FSB and the memory synced with the fsb?
And Bosskiller. I just stands 1.6.62 at the bios version when I start the computer. I've tested the original one and the newest (current). If I change in bios to 300+ FSB then it varies from complete dropping dead and hanging when starting windows/bios.
Note: This is MSI P965 Neo not MSI P965 Neo-F motherboard. Model 7235 not Model 7235-010. Although I did order Neo-F...![]()

yep was tested seems to be old one. well must be patient. as you can see MSI is working on it, guess new official version will arrive soon.BlueKnight said:I think of yes seeing test result... but i am not sure becuase the 1.6beta has the problems that CPU-Z and no any other pograms can't read frequency and CAS value.

if you speack french, i put the link to the news: http://www.tt-hardware.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=9735
I think that the probl?me of the motherboard, is the configuration of the "straps", when you put an fsb>333Mhz, you exceed the specification of the chipset P965.
For that, you must change the cooler of the notherbridge if you want use an fsb over 340Mhz.
I think that this can damage the chipset.
If MSI don't want an hecatomb, they have to fix this issue.
For the moment, the limitation of 500Mhz indicated in the bios is a joke....
PS: documents are made whit the Asus P5B using the same chipset that the MSI P965 NEO-F...
