MSI PRO B550M P-GEN3, SAFETY BEFORE POWER OUTAGES?

Hello, recently I bought a MSI PRO B550M P-GEN3 motherboard, previously I had an ASUS PRIME B350 PLUS, but they told me that my motherboard was bad, that the asus primes are junk from ASUS and they recommended me this motherboard, in addition to the one I had I was already about 6 years old, the point is that yesterday there was a power outage in my area due to a fault and my PC was on, I just turned it on today and absolutely nothing happened, but when I asked Bing, they mentioned that my motherboard has STEEL ARMOR for VGA stability, but found nothing of protection against power outages, of which the ASUS PRIME B350 PLUS did have ASUS 5X PROTECTION III technology. Have I bought a motherboard much worse than the previous one in terms of security?

Your Power outage protection is handled by the PSU, not the motherboard.
Is like your PSU bit the dust in the power outage as it seems to be quite old

Ohh I understand, so I shouldn't worry so much, I have the same PSU that I had with the asus prime b350 plus, they are both 6 years old and well during those 6 years the power went out at least once, I thought that the PC was not affected so much because of the 5X Protection, but now I know it was more because of my PSU, although I'm going to change the PSU too soon, so... Shouldn't I worry so much about power outages if my PC works completely fine afterwards?
Out of curiosity, MSI has their variant of 5X protection III?
Thank you very much for answering, and nicce dog. :)

NO real need to worry as the built-in protections of PSU should prevent any problems From Power outages and Power surges should be handled by Surge protection Power. board

Those "protection" features on motherboards are mostly marketing talk. They take some stuff that every motherboard has in one capacity or another, and blow up the supposed uniqueness of it with fancy terminology. Like Alan said, anything potentially harmful happening with the mains voltage, the PSU has to take care of that, not the motherboard. The PSU is your first and last line of defense against power surges etc. coming in from the power grid. If any of that reaches the motherboard, the PSU didn't do its job correctly.

So with the PSU being the foundation of the entire system, it's important not to cheap out on that, see my Guide: How to find a good PSU.
