This is a new build I just put together. I get an issue where the PC can boot with and without EXPO. But restarts/reboots always fail and the EZ Debug LEDs show Yellow which indicates DRAM error. I have ensured multiple times that the RAM sticks were seated correctly. I also followed the directions in the motherboard manual where you need to start with first stick in DIMMA2 and second stick goes in DIMMB2. But it doesn't help.

The RAM (part number: PVV532G600C36K) is not listed in the RAM compatibility list for the MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI. If a RAM isn't present in the compatibility list, will it definitely be incompatible? Is there an incompatibility list?

Before I go an buy another pair of RAM sticks which is in the compatibility list, I want to be sure that the issue is the RAM sticks. Could the CPU or the motherboard itself be the problem?

What can I do? Any help is appreciated.

Setup:
CPU:
AMD Ryzen 5 9600X 3.9 GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Spectrum V3 71.93 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard
Memory: Patriot Viper Venom 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory (PVV532G600C36K)
Case: Cooler Master Elite 301 MicroATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Hello there, another one huh, in August it will make two years since I've been experiencing, watching and discussing this restart problem in this forum.

The 'compatibility list' is just a general guideline doesn't really hold that much importance, every ram / mainboard / CPU batch have some small differences all in the acceptable ranges but that means you won't know 100% until you put your own system together if it works as intended or not.
So just like you here I have seen plenty users that had all parts on the QVL list and it made no difference. That list just means that at some point in the MSI testing rigs they plugged one piece of X component into one piece of Y component and it worked.

Now since this is a new build my main bet will be you had bad luck and you have a CPU with a very weak memory controller inside of it. Yes it could be the mainboard or ram kit too but from experience as someone that is affected by this restart problem and I have been observing this for a long time now (half my posts history is about this) I would pull the trigger instantly and first change that CPU and if not then change the ram and mainboard too. Of course new ram kit is easiest but those rarely work out.

Other stuff that you can try is the manual ram OC method with lowering the SoC voltage, that worked for some. I will link you here with the details.

If this happened to me in the first days, weeks of my build and I had the info that I now have I would be changing those parts asap because there is no magical future bios updates and things won't get better with time. Something stinks in the holy trinity of components CPU / MB / RAM or if you really are unlucky all three. Good luck to you, you are not alone at least now we can warn you upfront of whats what.
