Hi

I have the motherboard that in headline. When I connect my speakers to the motherboard, nothing happened. Tried to connect also microphone and the same happen. Lately I worked with the speakers in the monitor (they are still works fine, but connect with hdmi) so I don't sure when this happen, but two things happened latley that might effect:
1. I updaet the motherboard bios to the latest version that in the site
2. Clean some dust. Is there specific wire that might can disconnect or someting and can effect?
3. Updat the Windows. Don't use it with serial key and Microsoft pretty limited the part of the speakers and microphone in situation like this. Maybe they take it one step forward and now block all the setting of the the speakers?

Will glad for any assistant.

if your getting sound from the Speakers via the HDMI Connection it means its defaulted to the GPU's Audio

have you gone into Playback Devices and set Speakers as Default Audio Device?

Yes, but I don't see the speaker, nor the microphone
Thought at the beginig that the speaker gone. Decided to try and make format to the computer in case of drivers issues and than connect the microphone and saw that I also don't see him

Yep that can do it
Do you have the DDR4 or DDR5 model
I will send files for both.
So you can get it sorted out with a bit of luck
See PM
Thanks for the help

ddr4 model

Is this common issue? Just to be sure as I don't native English speaker. The 1F version is the last that works good?

Must to say that never had notherboard of msi and they make me hard life. No colors in in the bios. No beep sound when restart the computer. Had internet connection issues for long time until somome help me in the forum.
In general I paid around 60-70% for Gigabyte motherboard and get colors, beep etc. First time I saw things like this.

Hi
I am updating so others could get help from this.
The last version of 2023 (1F) isn't working, but when I came back to my old version (one before, 1E), my speakers works again.

Thanks Alan for the help.

Very poor performence by MSI. In 1.5 year they didn't fix this bug? Unbeliable.
Almost drop my speakers for garbage (luckly I check with the microphone). Also almost sent my computer for repair.

As I already check for new speakers, if I will buy new one, is there be same problem with the last bios version?

If you flash strait from the Provide BIOS file to the latest it should still have Audio
However, if it does not MSI recommends RMA

I don't sure that I understand. I had version 1E. Install the lastest. Do you say that I should have Audio?
I lost the Audio in the speakers, than I install 1F (go back in the versoin), still no audio, than 1E and get again the Audio.

ps, is it possible that this will also make problem with mouse that connect with dongel? Saw that I lost connection when I need to drag files etc

have I sent you a bios file via PM yet

Yep I did just rechecked

Flash to BIOS 1E reboot the system back to Windows check Audio is working if so then Flash the BIOS I sent via PM and reboot the system to Windows check if AUDIO is working, if it is working
Flash to the latest BIOS on the website. Check the Audio, if it is not working, you have the option to redo the flash procedure and stay on Bios Provided or RMA the motherboard as faulty

Thanks for the replay. I don't sure that I understand due to my English. I have 1E version right now. Which version I shoud install now and which version later? (1F? something else).
Also don't sure that I understand your last sentence - if this audio isn't working with the last version of bios, should I give the comupter to repair and they should replace the motherboard with new one?

And last quesion - I see that after every format I have some pop up of drive utility installer or something like this? What is this? Should I instiall it? What it give me?

It is an MSI App used to install Windows Drivers for your system it can be Disabled in the BIos

If you have BIOS 7D43v1E installed Next you want to Install the one I sent you boot to windows and check to see if the audio is working.
If the Audio is working Install BIOS 7D43v1K. Doing it this way you should keep the AUDIO.
If the Audio is not working after updating to 7D43v1K you will need to do a Warranty Clain to have it replaced.

Now if Audio is working after Updating to 7D43v1K I would advise you not to do any more bios updates.

Thanks. I don't remember that I install this program. This only show after format. Is the pc after format and nothing should be install, how this software pop up.

About the bios - now I understand. I want to verify something. I saw that the model that you send me is 1G, but I see that the file end with 1 instead zero. Is this official version? If yes, where I can find it in the msi site?
In my country that warrany is very problemaic. For example, my memory run in lower speed than it should. I ask and understand this is something related to xpm. I asked the store and they say to me that this is overclock and if I do this, my warrany might expired. I know that this isn't true, but didn't have power to argue with them, so didn't enable the xpm.

It is an official BIOS from MSI but it is not used for Public release due to the fact it is only for affected Motherboards about 1 out of every 200 or 0.5% of Motherboards if that many
Thanks.
So I will check with the store before I do this. I already guess that they will say that if I will install the warranty will gone. If they say this, is there any damage if I stay with this version? (I had some internet issue and my mouse connect with dongle and lost connection. Hoped that new version of bios will solve the problem).
btw, are you worker of MSI or vulonteer?

ps
What you wrote remind me something. I had 2 usb ports at the front of my case. From the moment I bought the computer I had issuses with them. Put the computer 2-3 for repair. In the last time they told me that they don't know what cause the problem. Is there any chance that there is also issue here with the motherboard?

Was in the store today. They want that I will bring the computer (and to remove parts that isn't bought from them) or the motherboard and that I will pay them although the motherboard still in warranty.
I explained to the that moderator in the forum told me to install this version, but they say that they want official answer from MSI (still look to me that they will want the computer). Is there option to open ticket or something?

Yes you can open a ticket with MSI
All the Admin and Moderators are Recuiuted by other Forum Moderators as needed, and all are Volunteers not employes of MSI.
But we do have contact with MSI for Technical support as needed.

Alan, thanks for your time. You are great. Will consider to wrote them in ticket but don't sure it will be worth the time. Talked via email with customer service of my shop. They insist that I will take the pc to the shop and pay for checking (although this product in warranty. They will send it back to me if there is problem)

Hey there, I'm having the same issue after updating BIOS, but my MB is the b760m-p DDR4, I updated to 7E02v1C.

Hello, Alan.
I have the same issue with my PRO B660M-A WIFI (it's MB with DDR5). With BIOS 7D43v1E sound controller exist and work, with any newest BIOS (1F - 1K) - sound controller lost. Can I get bios to fix this issue?
Thanks
