MSI Pro MP161 E2 - screen cycling colours (test mode?)

Hello - Ive had an MSI Pro MP161 E2 Portable monitor for 6 months and worked ok. I just moved it and now it just cycles through various colors with a blue box moving around the screen (see attached). I can not get it to show my desktop. I tried to hold the power button to reset, left unplugged for 20 mins but its the same - the screen just cycles colors.

Any ideas how to fix this or get back to display mode if its stuck in a test mode?

1.Please connect the monitor on the system.
2.It will be showing something on the monitor.
Example: It can be showing Windows logo when the system is booting into Windows OS.
3.Please refer manual on page 13 and do "reset" once in setting menu under OSD menu.

Thank you.

When the monitor is connected, all is see is the color changing screen. No logo. I am using USB-C for power and signal, been using this with USBC for 6 months.

I managed to get to the reset screen by using HDMI. I reset the screen. Now all I get on USB-C is a black screen. No image from the PC. I think the USB-C inputs are dead. Unfortunately, I need the USB inputs in this set-up.

I'm having the same issue and I can't work out how to reset it, how did you do it? the page 13 of the manual doesn't explain what buttons to press to get a reset

Hi, how do you do the reset? the manual doesn't explain how

Step 1. It must be showing something on the monitor first when connecting on system.
Example: showing desktop screen of Windows OS.
Step 2. Please OK key to showed OSD menu as attachment.
Step 3. Please refer manual on page 13 and do "reset" once in setting menu under OSD menu.

Try hold the up button and plug in the power cable, then release the button and see if you can call out the factory mode to reset monitor.

The only thing that shows is this flashing screen, from green to red, blue, white and black, non stop and with that floating text box. =(
