Hello MSI support,

Just wanted to let you folks know and wasn't sure where to post this info, or how to leave feedback.

However, since buying the Pro x670-P board, from a cold start or warm, it take from 3-5m for boot, and I found out why, it looks like it is because if the SATA connections are not all used (6 drives connected) this is what causes the delay. I now have 4 HD (2 12tb, 2 8tb) standard drives connected and to 8tb SSD's connected, I now no longer have the 3-5m delay as it checks for devices. You might want to look into this, not that its an issue, as the MB works fine other than the delay I was getting. Now I'm booting in under 30s all I know its a alot quicker now that the sata connections are all being used.

Your product works as expected, thanks for your time.

No I'm not using the newest, as I don't see the delay, now that all 6 sata connections for drives are being used and don't see a need to update it at this point. My current bios is the following...

That is ancient, lots of bugs fixed since then, including the big one which could kill certain CPUs with a voltage being too high. I would recommend to update.

Ok, per your suggestion I installed the following, we shall see how it goes as I don't just upgrade do to new versions coming out.

That is much better, it has all the critical fixes implemented. You can now check for the problem again that you had, chances are they fixed it already.

Well the issue is slightly fixed, it takes 30s to go thru the 128g memory check, of course I would like that to be faster, but such is life, my other problem I had that I'm not gonna try and fix, cause it would take days, is to see if a fresh install of windows 10 would crash on the installation process while windows 11 installation worked fine, and I dislike Windows 11, so I just used my backup and rebooted the system and it re-detected the rest that needed to be installed. But that is a long story in and of itself.

Well, in two years nobody will have a choice, when Win10 support ends. But with two free tools linked here, you can make Win11 look like any Windows, i made it look and feel pretty much like Win10, you wouldn't notice much of a difference until you pressed WIN+I for the settings.
