MSI RTX 4080 SUPER Gaming X Slim White Fan Rattle sound noise

Here is the issue that I have with this card, worked great for 5 months, and yestarday from nothign this happaned while I was playing.


Is the fan closer to HDMI ports, only this one seems to have problems, the other 2 works ok.
It start rattling at 90% fan speed that is around of 3250 RPM, as I said seems like from day to another this issue started.

If fan is lets say at 85% no issue, as soon as is go at 90% will start, and increasing the rattle for every 1% up to 100.

Yes I know I can RMA the card for this but im looking for maybe easy fix and avoid me days or week without the card.

Also want to ask if this can go worst or actually fix by itself...I dont know just asking.

It can only get worse. Other than RMA, you may have some luck finding fans on ebay or some other websites. But that's up to you.

Can you see any rub marks on the inside of the Fan cowl where the fan may rub if it is flexing a bit too much

If you mean right inside fan I dont know because I did not open it, if you talking about the shroud that NO, there is no rub or anything like that, nothing is touching anything.
It may be the engine of the fan that goes bad.

As I said is working totally great at any speed below 90%, anything above 90 will start yelling at me !
Also as can be see in the video the little touch with my finger will stop the problem, not because I stop the fan, I did not make a pressure, I only touch just a little that is enough to spin below that 90% I guess and thats why the noise will stop.

Well I dont know what to say, there is 6 months now with my personal "fix" and I actually forget about this issue.

Even I tried few weeks ago just to check if by any case it still doing this rattle, I set the fans at full speed 100% for 5 minutes furmark and I have to say there was no rattle.
I dont know if the fans fixed by itself or it was just some temporally issue on the bearing fan and after some time of use the issue dissapear....

Strange this happens ...

Anything is possible. I've bunch of chassis fans and one also rattles on start up. But only every now and then, not on every boot. I bought new fans and wanted to replace it, but cannot tell at the moment which one it is lol :) Glad it works for you though.
