Hello Everyone! I have a MSI Thin A15 B7VF notebook with the RTX4060, 16GB of factory RAM and an SSD i upgraded which is a 2TB WD Black SN7100. Now i dont use the machine frequently but yesterday i tried gaming on it when issues started. First the RTX4060 wasnt initialized or whatever, in the nvidia app barely anything loaded (after update too) and Brave and Chrome were also acting buggy not loading pages. So i was like ok lets update bios and reinstall win11. So i did that i updated the bios to 10F revision and installed a clean win11. Installed all drivers and some games and i was testing Alan Wake 2. After a few minutes the screen froze and the machine restarted. Event log was full of WHEA 17 errors. So i tried some troubleshooting steps with gemini but nothing seemed to help (like setting different power management settings etc.). The event log pointed to the root thats tied to the 4060 so i ran OCCT. No errors in any standalone test but when i started a combined test with CPU+RAM, 3D Adaptive and VRAM all together and after about 3 mins it logged near a million errors on the 3D Adaptive module. So then i tried to reset EC controller with 30 seconds power button which also didnt help. I was also getting ACPI 15 logs in the event log which is supposed to be a problem syncing the os and bios. After this i tried goind back to BIOS rev 10E. I laso reset EC controller again after the rollback. Issues still persist and now the machine also throws a BSOD after about 5 mins loading windows. It's a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (0x50).
At this point i'm thingking about the RMA process but if theres any way i'd like to avoid that as i have very negative experiences with repair/warranty services in Hungary.
Anyone has anything else i could try as troubleshooting?
Thanks!
